I never play as commander and I personally don't find being squad leader stressful.
I often play medic and I find that the most stressful role because everyone in the squad always shouts "where's the ******* medic!!!!!" when sometimes I simply can't get to them or I'm trying to revive and heal 5-6 other people...

It happened the other day when my entire squad got critically wounded apart from me and all of them were shouting at me to revive them. In the end the squad leader kicked me because I didn't revive him - it was kind of hard since he was on the ground and I was on the roof trying to revive 4 of the other squad members while being shot at by RPG's and getting molotov's thrown at me... :x

SL for me. You have to keep all your member together, and organized. Pick way points, give orders, etc etc.
i have seen a commander being played TWICE

I don't think being SL is that stressful, as long as you have a basic idea of what needs to be done and an intermediate knowledge of tactics, coupled with an ability to keep idiots in check, things tend to work out.

Helicopters can't die and respawn on a rally point, if you go down with a full squad in the back, thats 18 tickets right there, plus now you've doomed everyone to walking across entire maps.
That is far more stressful.

Well, my most of the time most stressful role is the Transport helo pilot, since constantly i have to be on alert for enemy APCs/AA/AT/MANPAD/Anything else that can take me down in .5 seconds, since i always intent to get that squad on their landing point in 1 piece. I do have to carry the responsibility of the Helo, the squad im transporting and handle the supply drops for the team aswell.

Tends to get bit tedious but most of the time i can stay alive half the round at least with 1 chopper. Though i always aim for not getting shot down and taking all the needed supplies to the guys down there as soon as possible..

Haha I might be an oddity.

My most stressful role is when I have to shoot at someone with optics.

I can squad-lead without an issue because I am rather laid back. I've got a style about me which demands more on the abilities of the Squad members then my leading. You can ask most people that have squaded with me, my orders are more general then most. "We've got a cache, Defend from this section and retreat this way." I'm much better as a defensive draining squad-leader on maps such as Mestia on Milita.

Plane, tanks, hell humvees / equivalent. I avoid. I'm a boots to the grounder rather then a death tin can driver.

Medicing? I'm pretty good at in those respects mostly cause of the fact I'm an *******. I'll revive you, but I will not move into the open. If you want health you come to me where it is safe.

But give me an optical rifle? Then my job consists of killing people and thats about it. I'm a right shit shot honestly. Nothing worse then putting three rounds on an unsuspecting guy, missing, and watching him drop two squad members.

Heli Pilot, especially in transport helos.
Because often the whole team depends on fast transport. The USMC is lost with bad pilots in maps like jabal al burj or barracuda!

About a week after getting the mod I signed up as commander, went into the screen and couldn't do anything. I didn't even know you had to go into the command post and within seconds one of the squad leaders was screaming at me. I've never touched the button since.

Try squad leading. And flying. In the tournament. And for 2 hours straight.

That was tiring. :(

Medic.

Operation Archer. I think I revived 7 people in one minute, and I had to make sure they didn't bleed out :(

Medic. Gotta love when people just yell medic into their mic over and over again, yeah that helps.

Commander is the most stressful role, after that is squad leader. Mostly the role has all the same problems as the squad leader but with additonals. The squad leader only has to worry about his squad but the commander has a whole array of worries ranging from all squads and squad needs.

You don't need the commander to build assets but the commander is helpful in ensuring the assets are built and even ordering a squad to solely go out of there way to build it.

As the commander role is not needed it does have its advantage as it has a wider view of the battlefield and the squads and can come up with tactics and position everybody via ordering the Squad Leaders to destinations to complete these tactics however not every squad listens to your orders and just runs off and does there own thing. Sometime being very stupid like leaving a capture point undefended when it is only them there and they leave to attack something.

The Commander role is generally like the baby-sitter of the game, the mom and dad and you know how stressful that job is ;) .

Squad leader. Getting all your little kiddies where they need to be. It's always fun....those..first.....10 minutes of "HEY DONT TAKE THE SNIPER KIT!" "GET BACK TO THE SQUAD" "HOLD YOU DAMN FIRE" "HOLD YOUR SPAWN" "MOVE TO ME" MOVE TO ME" "PLZ MOVE TO ME"

I hate kicking people who don't their gear in order. The other night I went off on this guy, we were trying to kill a cache and this fellow runs out and starts shooting. Moments before that I had told every not to engage targets.

"WHAT WE HAVE HERE! IS AAAA FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE!!" Got the kid working in order though ^_^ rest the round he was quite the asset. Even managed to kill a cache by him self after we all got over run by a couple of techies.
