Moderator Please Answer My Question

Post by CanuckCommander »

I didn't want to post here. But to the Mod who locked my thread, could you at least give me a PM? I'm forced to post here since I had no idea who locked the thread.

K, Thx. Sorry, lock this one when a Mod explains why it was locked that's all.

Thanks again.

EDIT,

People are just messed up now in this community. SIGH.......... DELETE THIS THREAD. Thx.

It is courtesy to send a PM. I know because I've gotten PMs before when my thread is locked. Realize this is not a complaint thread because I trust the MOD's judgement. No one ask you to post in here. I've only asked for Moderator. I would rather PM a specific moderator. But since he didn't even leave a mark at the end of the thread, how am I to know who locked it. I was forced to do a general post.

I did apologize for posting in the General Forums.

It's probably because the thread descended into a "vs thread" between realism and teamwork which was sidetracked by pr vs combined arms etc.

Eh, it's best to just refrain from posting on the forums for a week or so, the amount of ceaseless negativity from some of the posters about the new release (not you) is getting out of hand.

I didn't mean just the fanboys, I phrased it a little badly. I meant that negativity was coming from from both sides of these constant arguments. It's arguing for arguments sake and it's been the same in pretty much every thread:

OP posts a thread about the new release or some aspect of the mod being bad/good.
A poster disagrees.
They both offer their own points of view while implying the "opponents" view is wrong.
Thread does not develop past here once the "sides" are established, it just decends into "NO YOU'RE WRONG, PEW PEW PEW" (quoting coderedfox).

And what information would that be ? Or are you just meaning 'signal' and 'noise' ?

My advice for next time is to simply send Masaq[lead moderator] a message instead, and not make a new thread ;)

But yeah, whoever locked it should have listed a reason, and we normally
do just that.

Whoever closed it had reason to, mostly because the thread had turned sour, mainly because we've only been playing PR .86 for a week and a half. Personally, I think we should not allow ANY discussion on it for three weeks...
