EA speak out on 1.3 ballsup

Post by MrD »

This is the only word out of them, a reply in the standard EA forums in the middle of a thread. No time on the job, but it will be interesting to know the gap between working PR at 1.3 and then the devs on PRMM having to go to work all again to fix the problems the patch of the patch causes when they bring it out finally!

We're very much aware that we appear to have gone into "radio silence" since the patch last week, and I apologise for a lack of more concrete information at this time.

We are currently forwarding all the comments made with reference to the latest patch to the development team and we expect to receive an update on the next steps in the near future.

Once again, we can hardly avoid knowing the general consensus on the latest patch from the forum community here and we are making sure the right people know about it. The lack of information coming from us is certainly not ideal at present and we will be recitfying that situation.

Maybe your emails are in the wrong language? maybe you should start sending them in every language in the world until they finally are able to read your email and respond (don't forget to put some simple english details in each one so when they finally get the sarcasm.....)

unfortunately the members then proceded to turn that thread in question into a Little Britain gay joke :

....**** in the BF2 community Surprised
which proceeded to get the thread locked by admin (like they always do anyhow!)

As this is not directly related to BF2 it's best locked here.

We're aware of the lack of response to issue-related threads at present and we're hoping for more information to give you guys in the near future.

:/

The gameplay changes i can deal with, it is the server crashes and the lack on of unlocks in passworded server for clan matches which gets to me most. Yeah, EA's community support is somewhat poor

I read that response earlier and, while it was nice to finally see some sort of EA response, it's a shame that it sounded like a completely generic fob-off... Or am I the only one who read it like that?

probably.

i read it as they are admitting that they have been lax in thier customer support.

MasterKensei wrote:This is what baffles me about EA. I work for a non-commercial gaming website - and EA's press support is brilliant. Quick replies, detailed information, quick problem fixes. But their customer and community support is sadly lacking. How can you treat the press so well (who you're "losing" money to) and the community so badly (who are making you the money). I've been on both sides of EA's "support", and it still confuses me.

Its cause the press greases the wheels, puts on high scoring reviews, and awesome previews, they have to keep going back to them. Once you buy the game, your in their pocket.

As to EA they constantly confuse me they treat their money earning base like **** and then apoligze then do it again I am taking that EA forum thread as a admisson of guilt/ aplogy since it's the closest we are going to come to one.

Bravo Trogdor, bravo! How brave of you and it's nice of you to pretend they give a ****....

Seriously it's those noobs at places like planet battlefied and TBF2 (flames start here) that keep buying their games believing EA will actually 'care' this time. EA care as much as I want them to succeed.
