New to PR
So I recently installed PR and I was wondering if there was anything else I should get before jumping online. I'm reading through the manual now, but I also wanted to see if there were any tips or bits of advice I could get.

Second of all get a Mic
Third of all, optional but a WISE decision:

Some servers have Mumble on them, which is a 3d positional sound program. Lets the whole server speak to one another if you are within 75M or so.
REALLY brings a lot to the game. Youll hear enemy squads shouting orders, and youll easily talk to friendly squads.
Of course, its only the servers running it but theres both a RT Reality Teamwork US and UK server... Ive played on the US one a few times and its all been excellent convoys and insanely good, well adminned play

Just stick with the specialist/infantryman for a while. Play with those that speak the same language and don't be afraid to use the mic. Practice choppers/planes offline first.quicksilverpoet wrote:So I recently installed PR and I was wondering if there was anything else I should get before jumping online. Best would be to start playing with a friend that knows the ropes allready.
Those points should make it a mutual positive start for you and community.

Before operating any vehicles/assets, join/create a training server to familiarize yourself with the asset/vehicle. It will do your team good and save you some trouble.

Welcome to PR! Like vege said above, stay with rifleman / rifleman specialist kit until you've learned to navigate, shoot and work as a team. Limited kits are limited for a reason. There is never too many riflemen on the field anyway.

biggest thing (at keast for me) DO EVERYTHING THE SL SAYS AND DO NOT WANDER AWAY FROM HIM! i hate it when squad members have thier own agenda and wander off to do things. stay right on the squad leaders *** unless he tells you to do something
last but not least, you can have 1 good game out of 5, or you can jin the RT (reality Teamwork) community, get mumble, and have 5 out of 5 good games every time you play on an RT server. you will be able to enjoy the game much more, and more people can help you because of mumble.
