I have had such problem too but the problem always lies in my mic as I tend to plug it out and forget that I did. Might be as absend minded as me. :P

WHPRaveman wrote:Ok so I use mouse button two on my mouse for voip. It no longer seems to activate voip. So I remap the key to default key on key board. Still no talk. My mic is setup properly as having done the bf2 mic setup and I have used this headset for two years now on PR. I did just reload from scratch bf2 and the patch and pr and updated pb and still no talky. The mic does work and it responds during the testing. Also I do have the box "enable voip" in audio setting checked.Any suggestions. Thank you for your time.

not sure if it will work, but often when my voip doesn't work, you press tab and then click management. then click your own speaker icon on that screen several times.

if its a continuing problem, make sure that your microphone is microphone 1 and that it is selected.
when my mic is mic 2, bf2 doesn't register it but voip setup does.

Was going to say exactly what he said about management, but seeing as this is a repeated problem I was thinking that's not the problem.

In your sound control panel, make sure that your default mic is the one you want to use. Also, you should try testing the hardware to see if you can hear yourself, in which case you can also limit the problem to not even being connected to BF2 at all, unless you can use it through TS/Mumble/Vent or whatever.

im not on windows machine right now, but from what i can remember, if you aren't using third party audio software (like realtek audio managers) then you should be able to set this by double clicking your speaker icon. then click options > properties. select your mixer here and then click on recording. make sure that your microphone is selected and click ok. here you can select which input is used and select the recording volume.
