Well i got a virus yesterday and it infected everything. Now i can't run any CDs, but it still reads them sometimes...
so does a virus mess the CD drive up?

Maybe not the drive itself but the software that runs it yes.

Download the latest AVG & SUPERAntiSpyware software & that will make sure you don't get any more viruses...

Yes a DVD/CD can cripple a DVD/CD drive. Its happened to me twice. From the same disc. Even with Anti Virus software.
