Hi all,
I have recently invested in a new machine however when i installed PR and ran it, it played worse then my old machine im guessing its something to do with the graphic drivers. So i was wondering if anyone had a similar set up to me and could suggest anything to help the problem.
My set up is; amd 2.8 tri core, 4gb ram and ATI Radeon hd 4890
cheers

Re: Graphics problem
What O/S are you using?
Have you updated all your drivers?
What is the problem exactly?
Laggy?
Low frame rates?
Are your in game textures set to 'HIGH'?
Set the textures to medium.
I'm not sure why this makes a difference with some high-end cards that can run games like Crysis
on high quality settings with no problem at the same res,
but for some reason it can matter in Project Reality.
Do you have a lot of background apps running?
Have you tried:
AMD Fusion for Gaming?
Give us a little more info please.

Re: Graphics problem
Rule out overheating by opening the case and put a fan blowing in.
If that helps install a extra fan or two across from the video card.
Consider turning off virtual memory and getting a fast (150x +) flash usb2
thumb drive instead for ready boost.
Good luck

Re: Graphics problem
Hmm I am not thinking this is a overheating issue, use CPUID and run it while you are running PR and check your temps and post them. also post the temps before you get into the game to see how your idle temps are.
also is it the same HD as before or did you get a fresh pc?

Re: Graphics problem
You got any solution on this yet or not? Cause my cousin has bought himself an HD4850 and he has lagg problems, and wrong colors showing up on some of the objects when playing PR while BF2v runs fine on the highest settings...
I bought myself 2 HD4890's and would like to know if i can play PR without any problems.. Didn't instal them yet though..
