Every PB problem (in one day)

Post by ryan d ale »

Failed handshaking
Losing key packets
MD5tool mismatch

I'm expecting heartbeat failed to show up next.

Background info: Yes, I've searched and I've firstly decided to follow the most simplistic form of trouble shooting (deleting logo and shader caches located in My Documents/Battlefield 2).

I don't play often so it might all be happening by chance BUT today I have installed 1.5, 0.87 and FH2.2 do you think this may have caused a 'corruption'.

In addition to that I've also recently downloaded the evaluation version of Panda AV Pro 2010. It has a built in firewall but there's no way to configure it but I have disabled 'active' security but the programmes still run in the background.

Another thing is I recently downloaded the Ashampoo firewall and that his been giving me trouble with the majority of torrents limiting them to 50KB but FH2.2 was going at over 1Mb a sec. This is despite clearing the torrent application for all uses and creating additional rules for the specific ports.

I will be playing and seeing if I get booted again.

Update:- Also following Killroys copying and renaming shader client advice. Just finisihed replacing BF2 Shaders Client with Mod/Pr/Shaders_Client.zip (not shaders_client_pr)

HAS NOT WORKED - Still looking for suggestions other than full reinstalls

Tried to verify MD5 code of Shader Client to see if it is the correct version but MD5Summer doesn't recognise the file.

Deleted additional caches located in documents/mod/bf2 and bf2.tmp (No PR folder WTF?)

In the meantime can anyone suggest anything?

NO problem now.

I uninstalled all my AV software.

Some of it was False positiving PB but before the patch but it still worked.

So for my fix I cleared ALL caches (logo, shaders and other 'cache' folders). Replaced Shaders_client. and uninstalled AV software.

Probably easier than uninstalling everything and installing it again :)
