As this is a reality mod, will you include realistic blood and gore?

IMO, soldier of fortune 2 is (even though its an old game) just about the right level of gore:

When someone gets shot, a 'bullet hole' texture appears where the bullet entered his body and a 'bullet hole' texture appears where the bullet exits his body. for both of these new textures, a couple little blood squirt things come out.

SOF 2 also has detachable limbs and such, but I doubt that will be possible in bf2 engine.

So, DC and other mods fiugred out how to make 'bullet hole' textures on walls, you think you can do it to a player model in bf2?

People should show it when they get shot. However it shouldnt go over board, there doesn't need to be blood everywhere(counter strike). IMO a bleeding effect would be ok, as in you get shot and theres a hole. If you don't get it patched up that blood spot gradualy gets bigger untill you've blead to death. If a medic comes a little patch is now shown where the wound was.

The "Gore" from trauma wounds really depends on where the point of insertion (i.e. artery or stomach, totally different results) is and the type of projectile was used.

We will need to see how vanilla BF2 before we decide to make any changes.

a shot that goes intoa guy should appear as just red blotch on him.since you cant see the hole on his body, cause it's covered by his clothing so it should be just red on his clothing. about blood on walls. i think if a guy's head shot a large blood pff should appear on the back of his head and behind him the wall should be red.

but everything else should be on his clothin only.

i like the blood on wall behind the guy idea. in the videos, if you shoot through a thin metal fence, there is a bullet impact thingy on both sides of the thing. i really think this wouldnt be that hard to do to players in bf2. the holes in sof 2 look perfect, they look like a messy bloody hole. if it was a small round from a pistol, then it would make a smaller hole and there would be more of the bloddy clothing, but i really hope the realism mod has that look, if a guy has been shot, you can look at him and say "the bullet entered here, and exited here".

I doubt bf2 will have excess blood. It seems f rom the video everyone is made of white powder. As it seems to fly out every time they are shot.
