I am trying to play Kashan or Qinling or Archer and I get these black hash-mark patches on the terrain. Just recently though, I tried to join a Kashan Server and a Qinling server, and the buildings and vehicles wouldn't show up and sometimes the map wouldn't show up either. And I've been getting various other weird happenings.
I have only a few screens because every time I try to take a screeny the game CTDs
I'm on a bike in the first one.

That's a Negative,
I am Running this Bad Boy I don't really have any Overheating issues, Fan speed is turned up all the way and I don't have any trouble with the Core temp going over 55C. I just turned off my computer overnight, maybe she's just tired.

Very nice. I wanted it too but settled for the HD4850 1gig to save a few $$.
If you still have trouble run battlefield cleaner to flush out your video cache files.
What OS are you running?
A brief history before and after problem started?
What you have already tried?
Some things you can try
Set the textures to medium.
I'm not sure why this makes a difference with high-end cards that can run games like Crysis
on high quality settings with no problem at the same res,
but for some reason it can matter in Project Reality.
Turn AA off (vista)
Windows7

re: Video Card Trouble/Fixed!
Hey Pale, you'll never guess what fixed my baby.
I got another card, a 4650, and it had the same exact problem. So instead of having to clean my video card of dust, which I did anyway, I did two separate virus scans and found the culprit. Fraps had a Trojan virus in it, and was screwing everything up.
So after removing the trojan, both video cards are now in perfect 16 AA running condition. And thank god too because I was 8 inches away from RMA'ing my beautiful Dark Knight.
BTW I updated my system specs in my profile. Thanks for making a legitimate use of it, instead of its normal use of simply measuring comrades E-Penises.

Glad you got it sorted out. I sure wish everyone would input their system specs in their profile.
I forgot about 'Fraps' and a few other 3 party apps that can cause trouble. Usually it's a update needed. Your post shows how important it is these days to have a virus scanner checking incoming downloads as well as the system scan late at night.
Good luck
