= exactly.

All the numbers and wiki quoting aside. People are saying that its not going to kill as the round will not penetrate armour? realistic modular armour cannot be used in the game and therefore its a pretty redundant point.

You can argue the ins and outs of the .303 forever but the problem still remains, its just an ineffective weapon in-game due to high deviation + low damage. If the .303 is not deemed powerful enough then simply lower deviation so it is able to be used.

assuming its a SVD being used, that fires 7.62 x 54mm. which as you can see above has same sort of performance as .303
1 Guy surviving doesn't mean jack tbh.

You can find videos of guys surviving jumping on or next to a grenade (it's happened) and being fine doesn't mean that everyone who lays down next to a grenade will be fine.

Show me videos of 20 guys being shot with a .303 then getting up and running off like that and I'll accept your point.

The statistics provided can be awfully misleading -- it attributes the lethality to the cartridge itself and ignores what more probable factors. Shot placement, immediacy and quality of medical care, etc.

The ballistic plate in the soldiers armor, will consistently stop a .303, a x54r, or a .308 according to the NIJ. Again, not an issue of the cartridge, but the armor.

Am I right in understanding (for British Armour anyway) that the ballistic plate is the small circular thing over your heart?

I don't think the British get equipped with that. Or is it just the TA screwing me over with crappy equipment again?

Cadets are provided with CBA for range days. Osprey's for real soldiers on ops.

Well if the Enfied was made into a 1 shot kill weapon, it would be too powerful as a medic weapon. But in the current state it is as effective as the knife at medium range. I mean the medic shouldn't be getting the most kills, but he still needs to have the means to defend himself.

I usually play medic on Korengal and if an American is 30m in front of you, facing the other way while shooting at your teammates, it isn't even worth it to take the shot IMO. He will just twitch, then turn around and put a 3-round burst into you.

Why not give the medic the sks?

I like it. And I like playing medic for the medic role, not the killing.

In midrange it's a great weapon.
