Real serial with cracked game?

I can't find my CD to reinstall my game due to the problem ''pr.exe has stopped working'' but I do have my serial key. So can I download a cracked version of the game and use my own serial key?

As long as you have a valid CD Key there shouldnt be anything wrong with telling you this because BF2 still checks the CD Key, just not the DVD.

Dont worry about "cracking" the game, just find a DVD image of the game and install it.
Install 1.41 Patch, then 1.5 Patch. 1.5 patch gets rid of the DVD check.

Try to install EA Download Manager and see if your game is listed there. It should be if you have registered it at EA site using your cd/serial key. EADM is the offical way to download BF2 from the net and it's supported by EA.

Nevermind it worked with a torrent version of the game.

But the ''pr.exe has stopped working'' is still showing up when i start the game :S
