I'm not sure I even understand the question? You are suggesting players attempt to fire small-arms at a live hand grenade that has been activated?

I don't see why you would want to do that, as you would be able to shoot the grenade and it would fly away?

ah, you got me way off.I'd suggest making grenades move when knifed (eg: "kicked" as has been suggested earlier). It's trivial, yes, but why not?

Because it wastes server resources?

Good luck with knifing a grenade and then running for cover...

I would like to see this experiment. From the other team!

Better idea: If you see a grenade, RUN.

Also, dynamic objects take up a lot of resources, why use them for an activity that will happen almost none of the time?

If it aint happening, it aint using resources....

But then again i dont know the way the engine uses stuff so..

If you guys talking about dynamic positioning, it wouldnt really take much more resources, since the position of the grenade is already shared by the server. It would only need to re-share the info if it was dynamically "kicked" and maybe waste some CPU time recalculating the physics, but then again, if a nade slides downhill this happens too.

Meh, just for the heck of it ;-) . Stupid, yes, neat saves possibly. I'd say it would be more in lieu of "enemy wheelbarrel spotted"

Well, I suspect that there's only going to be 1-5 grenades going down and then blowing up, so I'd suspect that this would not be an issue

You want realism? If you see a grenade you RUN!

As others have pointed out, and I am going to confirm, you are not going to attempt anything remotely close. When you see, hear, or even suspect a grenade has landed nearby your priority reaction should be to take immediate cover while shouting out a warning to fellow soldiers.

Unlike the movies, a grenade will not linger around long enough to run over, pick it up, and toss it back at the enemy. Doing so will result in a permanent nickname of "lefty". The same goes for trying to kick it, unless you have some odd desire to use a prosthesis.

I have seen a few such objects on some of the FH2 maps. They are generally just a couple of old soup cans that you can shoot at. They are pointless objects, almost always having delayed reaction to hits. I have yet to see any helpful use of such an object.

( Agreed ) i feel that it wouldnt be worth the hastle ... granades already have a bounce + friction effect when going down hills n stuff sooo.... i dont see why we should change it :P

Shall we put this one to rest, gents? :p
