not to be the one that brings the bad points up all the time, very nice, but the barrel has a some right hand grooves on it, starting where the scope ends and ending jsut before the suppressor when it is fixed on the wpn

I can't see these groves very well from your pic and can't find a better pic but from what I can see it looks like these groves would be best done by the texture with a good bump map which would be the most efficient and best looking way to do them without using god knows how many polys and the way I'm expecting KP has planned for them to be done.

many of our MAs tbh, literally some times we just ask one of our guys if they can get some refs of some vehicle or w/e and there reply is "sure, I'll just wait till my lunch brake then I'll pop out side, got one parked just round the corner" :p

Haha. That is awesome. Wish I could do that sometimes for some of the weapons I want to model but cant because not enough refs. Such as the M24A2 (not a lot of refs but I'm trying to model it with just 3 pics of the side and back.)

And I agree, modeling the coiled barrel would make the weapon incompatible with BF2 considering how many polys that would have to be incorporated within the model. And whoever is doing the texture for this bad-boy should have some fun doing so. Be sure to bake on a good normal map for that twisted barrel. Lookin' great though. Nice job. ;)

Provided this is entirely UV'ed, I will offer up my texturing skills if you all would have them.

haven't uv'ed weapons but i guess i could take on this to get better at my skills, would need to study the other uv's of the sniper rifles but should be possible for me to take a shot at it. give me a pm

Whats up guys,
I'm from the Brazilian community, [r-dev]Chuc asked me for continue the work on the C14 medium range sniper rifle. I already got the model, made little adjusts on the model, the smooths and I’m finalizing the Uvs.

The Main changes
Added a more detailed muzzle break,

adjusted proportions, added some detail, and lens covers to the scope
