To get non mumblers to use mumble I use to tell them to join the RT community on xfire.

Reality Teamwork Community

Just log in here and press Join Cult. Every player in this community are mumble users and probably very happy to help people with mumble questions. Especially the admins.

And you get reminders on xfire every time the server are going to fill. When you play on the server you will see that the players use mumble very effectively. RT are the only server with a you-must-use-mumble rule.
