Dude I tried coop, all the helicopters handle completely differently, I don't know why its that way but it is. And the main thing people are gonna train for are helo's, so... wtf? the coop isn't gonna help us at all
That is what I am afraid of. I bought a joystick and received it yesterday, so only had 1 day to test it on the previous version. Did enjoy that more to train than the current COOP.

Pls bring back the Train Mode, Co-Op is completly different from the Game and there are also a mess. But what brings the Co-Op when i can't train heli flights? Thats the reason i want a Train Mode, and now i must fly Blackhawk with 200kmh instead of 480 and the movment is different. So when you think "allright i got a fex hours of heli Train on Co-Op Mode lets try it in real" you will bring the Heli fast into the next hill and not to his landing Zone.

Pls bring it Back, Change it and make it more interesting but bring it back.

Training mode is absolutely pointless from what I saw. Co-Op is a much better option.

Train on local is shit. There is no inf i must transport and no one who wants crates. Sure there was alot Raping in Train Mode, but most of the time it were like 2guys of 30.

And you havent read, the heli movment in Co-Op is not like its in the real game so its senseless, completly, and PR is Primary an Multiplayer Mod, Hardware have a high priority on such maps so why no Chance to Train it in the right way?

In my opinion, this new Co-op mode is ALOT, I mean ALOT better for training purposes than Training servers we used to have.

I remember spawning to Helicopter training and there were crashed helis all over the place... It was and miracle to survive there, not even mentioning the Jet Training... FFS.

My first exprerience with co-op was earlier today and it was quite impressing. It's a really easy way to get used to the teamwork and all kinds of different situations in combat.

The more people who choose not to fly on a live server because they are the slightest bit unconfident in their flying skills, the better.
I don't think that's why he's saying that

Haven't played Co-op yet but i found training mode EXTREMELY useful...

yeah theres some DM and tking but who cares with 2 second respawns?!

you need training mode to learn how to operate everything.... PR is a big learning curve for players even after reading the manual

Please please add back training mode...

I wanted to play RP because I wanted to practice flying jets and helicopters

I thought PR was great until 0.9 :(

they shouldnt have removed training imo, it was great cuz you could do what you want, like building bases and having fun, etc; In deploy mode, real mode, there is a lack of action and gameplay, thats coz of so much realism, so training filled that lack of action and gameplay with some fun and we know it wasnt realist, but we need to sacrificate just a bit of realism for gameplay ;-) (all that is in my opinion only)

The old training was mostly to learn how to keep control of the helicopters and jets in extreme conditions, like avoiding friendlies bombing you, helicopters ramming your tail, AA constantly locking you up, extremely low flying. Yes, it definitely did not look very nice, but it was extremely effective at making someone learn to fly and practicing AA in Opfor vehicles of all kind (good ol' days of trying to use the BMP autocannon to take out jets and helos :D )

Infantry training was a waste though. That needs a separate map.

In the end, it was training, but for just learning to land and take off meant a local server. The online ones were something unique though.

I say teh incorporate training in co op so that when you fly you have something to shoot at that doesnt shoot back or perhaps as farther away you fly the harder it gets.

inf training can be set in a place far away from flying I was thinking of having specified areas like air vs air practice air vs ground air support and etc

like people are saying...

combine the two modes.

bring back training mode in all its glory of infinite tickets and instant respawn and how the vehicles and choppers were.. but with bots and instant building of FoBs of co-op.

Training will be brought back in the future, just not in the asshat way the past training server was. Sorry guys the Death Match fast spawn is gone.

[R-DEV]CodeRedFox wrote:The training mode was removed because a majority of servers/game were DM asshatery. Everything that was great about PR was being trashed. We just dont want that.

The COOP will do everything you need, sure no fast vehicle respawn but PR isnt about that.

If training mode returns it will not be what we had before. It will be a training like map with no DM battles.
Actually it was just the battleforce training server, the only one that had a significant population by the way.
But yes, ragers regularly gathered there to teamkill by dropping bombs on parked airplanes the runway and being tards.
I assume if 3 friends met on many of the empty Kashan 64 servers, for lase/bomb practice it was good.

It was one server though, but I can see how the devs dont want a gamemode breeding PR ragers.

I like having a training mode. It may have been a DM fragfest to some people but I used that to my advantage. It was helping me to learn to fly the helicopters properly, avoid AA, and dodge missiles. I would load up training mode on a local server and practice flying one helicopter over and over and over again.

Loading up muttrah on a local server is completely different. I was using it to practice flying the littlebirds through the city and as soon as I lost both little birds I had to spend a great deal of time loading it up again.

I liked training mode because it helped me brush up on my flying skills. The helicopters in Co-op mode fly different.
