can't an insurgent just go to his local pharmacy and steal a bunch of medical supplies? Maybe there could be a cvs and there could be kits in there that have a bunch of dressings.

So they couldn't just pick up an American kit and sit on the cache dropping dressings. Also, the healing ability of the vehicle depot should be removed. I liked insurgency better when medical supplies were very limited.

Of course it sucks when you start to bleed out, but it puts you into a different state of mind, it's all or nothing, you live or die. Back in older version, if I start to bleed out, I would rush at the enemy and try to take as many down with me as I can. That "all or nothing" feeling was something that set the insurgent faction apart from the rest of the game(and other games in general) and in my eyes it made the game more fun. Asymmetry for the win.
may be INS should spawn already injured and bleeding so everyone on the map rushes around and kill everything moving. Sorry but rushing towards a BLUFOR while screaming and with all that blood effect on screen only makes your death quick. Plus brings a nice quote: "Oh those insurgents!"

Maybe you should use some common sense and logic before posting. But hey, I'll humor you.

Spawning injured and bleeding out would ruin the gameplay for insurgents. They would be forced to run from the spawn points towards the enemy main. It would prevent the insurgents from laying ambushes and waiting for the enemy to attack. Either that or a civ would have to sit at the spawn the entire game healing people.

Rushing towards blufor in general is a bad idea. You are under powered compared to even 1 conventional soldier. I wasn't trying to imply that this is a good tactic or that it works great.

What I did say, was that WHEN I get shot and start to bleed out, I push forward and try to wipe them out rather than fall back and seek medical attention. And when I get shot, it's usually because I've waited or moved into a position where I could attack some enemies in close proximity. So, a further push towards them might gain me a few kills before they gun me down.

There is a huge difference between the situation you are put into, and the tactics you use. Insurgents used to be very limited in terms of medical equipment. So they were put into the situation where turning around and running back to look for healing wasn't a viable option and often led to you bleeding out while wondering around looking for help. So, when you were put into that situation, where medical supplies were almost impossible to get a hold of quickly, you were forced into making the best of a bad situation. Which means aggressively attacking the enemy to at least make some contribution to the teams progress, before you inevitably die. At no point did I imply that perfectly healthy insurgents should be openly running towards the enemy screaming 'ALLAHUAKBAR!!' because it's a fun thing to do.

Sorry you misinterpreted my post, hopefully this long explanation will help you better understand my meaning.

Actually Ithink I understand your point. You say that insurgents are expandable due to their nature of position and technology so they should play according to that reality. OK But then there is that cliche "reality vs game play" which may apply for this. Just sitting and waiting for death is just very annoying.

Actually if you can read my previous reply on this thread you'll see that I'm not saying to give INS the same patches with BLUFOR or create med houses (actually there is thread I started about that but after various discussions I gave it up) But there should be something not to heal but JUST stop bleeding which sometimes not even caused by gun shots. Dying in INS maps really no problem if you ask me. No point loss plus most of the time there are several spawn points not far away to your destination.
