Fix for round end kick

I posted in another thread but it may get missed.


SO Ive found a fix for the kick at map change.

Do a manual update of PB. Why I dont know but when I did there was a update to download. Use.

PunkBuster Online Countermeasures

Then login to Vanilla BF2 so that game spy can verify your account. Wait 5 mins then log out log in to a PR server and see if you get kicked at the map change end of round.

Since I have done this I no longer get kicked.


I remember reading that Game spy is taking over collecting stats info for BF2 as such and being that PR dosnt use stats and has its own exe. I came to the conclusion that Game spy may not reconise your PR account as you have not used it in a normal BF2 vanilla server since they moved the servers over to a new data centre. Could be a incorrect asumption and my memory may be failing me in regards to EA/ Game spy and who collects the stats but being kicked at the end of the round is when the game server sends the end of round scores to the main stats server and then accepts your game account ready for the next round. blah blah blah.

No on our server *NwA* we loose the entire popultaion of the server at the round end like all other servers since the game spy data centre move. But since I did the above I now dont get erro reading from server at the round end and the new map loads fine.


I logged into vBF2 with my PR profiles loaded into a game and played for 5 mins then todday I can load the next map at the end of the round in PR.

Worth a try. Did you load into a game of vBF2 not just log into the server browser but into the game and score some points so the server sends off the score at the end of the round as BF2 or SF isnt having this issue just PR.

I just updated pbuster. Went into BF2 and while loading a map, its throws me to login screen again with the same error message as in PR. I'll try it again, since I didnt play on maps yet.

I tried clearing the cashe folder, it appeared to have worked for like a few hours (just pure luck I guess) now it's back to the normal state; end of the round=error.
I guess we just have to wait for the gamespy to fix whatever they broke.

yeh its freakin me out, seriously. Its just so annoyin, u only miss like 2 mins of the game but u lose your population on the server... maybe update PB on server?

Just tried everything, nope. It doesnt work. Oh well. Since it is happening on BF2 also, they might fix it.

might is a good word, if EA doesnt really care about BC2 (feels like there are two devs maintaining it) and only thinks how to release as many more "reskinned" copies of the same game ASAP, u cant expect em to give a shit about BF2

Got some random results today loaded in to a map upto client data then got kicked. Next map loaded right in but I had to leave. Think thats called sod`s law.

It is somehow interferring with gfx setting s as i got low gfx 2 times (restarting the game didnt work...)

Same here, except the opposite. I normally have my settings at low, but ever since this server issue, my graphics will get bumped up randomly.
