Didn't they change that in 1.51?

It's only the OS that needs to be 64-bit to make use of 3+ GB RAM :)

32 bit programs can only use the maximum amount allowed by their architecture (x86 or x64) so, BF2.exe, an x86 architecture program, cant use more than 2 gigs o' memory.

And I believe its 1.50, not 1.51.

1.50 changelog:
"- Allowed BF2.exe to use more than 2Gb RAM"

Nonetheless. More RAM - a good thing.

when was the last time DICE made something that actually worked

anyway when the RAM optimization kicks in, is there a way to do something so it doesnt crash
There is only one unforgivable lie That is the lie that says, This is the end, you are the conqueror, you have achieved it and now all that remains is to build walls higher and shelter behind them. Now, the lie says, the world is safe.? The Great Khan.

40k is deep like that.

Downloading this program and the one CareBear posted to see if I can get my graphics up a bit! With the new versions I had to crank them down from medium with some high to low and I'm hating it! Need my medium graphics back!

IMHO this program is just placebo. No effects on performance whatsoever. It's just a good thing when Win 7 reserves RAM for the game, the ram thing in gamebooster just makes performance worse I'd say.

wow, someone bumped this thread so I didnt have to look through google to find it? wish I knew that before I googled....

I was looking for this app because my computer is running at 60% ram used with only Firefox open, with 111,000 mem use, the other 60 processes at under 10,000 and I have the max of 3gigs of ram in my computer. What the hell is going on?
