Just wanted to say thanks...

Post by ackack47 »

I've been a huge fan of PR for a little over a year now so I'm not the most senior guy in this community. But, as a huge fan of Battlefield 2, PR has brought me back to what I loved most about PC shooters and the Battlefield genre. The epic scale, squad play, and an even more realistic experience. I'm currently in Afghanistan in the Navy Seabees (NMCB40) as an IT, who deals with all of the commands communications (radios/computers). I haven't had a chance to play PR since before I left on this deployment in late July and I'm glad to see PR is still being updated often. What saddens me is I still have another 4 months left of this deployment that and I'm going to miss out on experiencing these new snow themed maps. Will they continue to be in the game even after the holidays? I'll have to get a friend back home to ship me a copy seeing how I forgot to put PR on my new laptop HDD before I left. All I have is BF2 with 1.5 and I want to play over a LAN with all my other buddies in the batallion who have a gaming laptop. Thanks a whole lot to the PR team and the entire community for keeping it going!

I guess you cant wait 'til you get home. You have a lot to look forward to!
Start counting days, because the first thing you will think as you play your first round with PR in a while, is "HOLY **** THIS IS AWESOME!"

Thanks for the words of encouragement, I assure you it really means a lot to the team when people say things like that, and a lot of the time its what keeps us going.

On another note thank you for your service and to anyone else serving on these boards; please stay safe.

Good luck over there. Stay safe and come home safe. Lastly, hope to see you back on the battlefield in April (I suck at dates).

I'm in Iowa playing a video game, you're over there for real.

I have a cousin that is a Seabee, know anyone by the name of Caldbeck? I think he's a 2nd Class. That would be really weird if you did.

Haha, nice picture! I was surprised to see that pop up on my screen. Anyways, I don't know him, what battalion is he in? I'm in NMCB 40, also whats his rate (job title). I just put on 3rd class petty officer a couple weeks ago (finally) and have been in for almost 3 and a half years. Yeah can't wait for April to get back online and playing PR again! Biggest thing I'm looking forward to, well family and leave too of course, but you understand...
