PR G15 plugin?

Is there a PR plugin for any Logitech keyboards?

If not maybe an idea?

Would anyone use it?

I guess he means if he can see how many bullets he has left in his mag, etc.

I'm using and have been using a plugin called "G15 BF2 MOD" since I got the G15 four years ago, its not PR specific but it works with it, you can see your score, your squad and server info.

Cant seem to find the official thread about it on the G15 forums anymore, but look for version 1.3, it works with BF2 version 1.5.

its a nice to have, nothing important.

The default BF2 profile for the G15 generation 1 contains a lot of mapped shortcuts that don't apply in PR like "Spot Tank" or "Call for medic" (using the left mouse command, not the new one pr has that allows unlimited calls)

So much is done through ingame equipment now that I mainly use the mkeys for chat macros, just set the delay to ~25+ ms, and you can type out commonly used phrases with a single button much faster than typing them. "30 seconds to LZ, pop smoke" etc.

The screen didn't support any of PR's custom unit icons for squadmates, and would have a lot of trouble fitting the new large scores into the old format.

tl;dr, you'll need a new app for .95
Players might be hardcoded, but that sure doesn't seem to stop anybody from trying.

What I think should be put on there are a few screens of awesomeness

First off, i believe you could use the G15 screen to allow for some sort of thing... something.. nifty.........

.....

something useful....

like a GPS (A7, B3, so one so forth) like device.....

or.... maybe even something that show's who's in your squad and what kit they have (via a nifty picture) so that you can have an "at a glace" look. This helps those of us who are not good at names. :roll:

Also, i think maybe including just random information would be nice, like our teams current tickets, the current objective, just random stuff like that so i don't have to bring up a map over my current stuff, but can still look down really quick.

Cause even if i was looking at a map, it doesn't cover up what i'm looking at (i can't seem to look past the transparency)

I think I'd rather just use a small secondary screen to show the squad map screen constantly. Though I guess for people who already own those Logitech keyboards and don't want a secondary screen I guess showing squad kits, other SL names, tickets, and maybe your personal score could be useful.

A couple things I'd like:

Basic Stuff:

Server name, Score, Time, Kill/Death

Meaningful:

Flag Cap status, Ammo/magazines left, Vehicle health status (maybe by degrees instead of %), Player Health status (by degrees instead of % [Healthy (100-76%), Bleeding (75%-10%), Serious Injury (10%-0)), Compass, altitude?

The whole point of not letting a player just see their health or flag cap without doing some extra work is that the information isn't instantly at your fingertips.

I suspect (correct me if I'm wrong) that the DEVs would pitch another fit if someone started using their Gpanel to gain access to information deliberately hidden from the player.
Players might be hardcoded, but that sure doesn't seem to stop anybody from trying.

Flag Capture is as easy to monitor as the M button... However, for me I like to see my screen and not the map.

Flag Capture not being seen unless viewing the map is to me just a result of minimizing the HUD, something I like and wouldn't change, however the G15 screen is another screen. I already use my G13 for timing vehcile spawns and gauging operation time length.

I always told my self I'd try to code for this...

I agree something like this would be good.

Useful information that we can have on our screen. tbh anything will do just to fill that empty space in game :)

basic stuff sounds good

meaningful stuff defeats the purpose of having removed all of that to begin with. it was removed for a reason, and giving people that advantage because they bought a more expensive keyboard is simply dumb. EXCEPT for Flag cap status, that would be very majorly useful without being too unfair to anyone else. it would give the player just a slight edge in situational awareness while being able to see the status. However that is something i think should be visible for everyone if it isn't already (is it? i havent played AAS in quite a while, i cant remember.)

But in real life soldiers can buy their own equipment to add to what is given to them to help them? so with the G15 thats kinda the same? Of course dont show how many rounds left in the mag etc but yes to flag capture, time remaining, tickets. All the small things.

Ouch...Why not get an aimbot then?

Serously, it is a game, so everyone should have the same technical preconditions to keep it fair. Your real life argument does not fit at all.

Heres the options menu of the G19 plugin. Cant get it working, neither for PR nor for BF2 though.

Not to get off topic but... we are allowed to play with joysticks, gamepads, and better monitors/equipment. If you want an absolute level playingfield thats the console realm.

I can't see an issue with the HUD stuff already just appearing on the screen. Its not a huge advantage. Besides wounded state is really just fluff because the game already tells you.
