New speakers, need help.

Hey, I need some help in buying some new speakers.

I'm a cheapo to start off. I've found 2 sets that I think are quality and that I wouldn't mind purchasing.

Both are in the 50-60 dollar range.

For these I would be using them for, listening to music, playing games, parties, so they need to be loud and bassey, but not all the time.
I like to hear the bass in songs. And for the music or w.e to be clear. I'm a borderline audiophile.

I can deal with recommendations, but only in the 60 dollar range, max.

Sir, you never even standed next to audiophile. Do yourself a favor and don't call yourself audiophile when talking about 60$ range of speakers to avoid embarassment.

Back to topic- Logitech should do the job for you, avoid getting sub that has ''plastic'' case, wood is compulsory.

You might wanna read the above again.I am not talking about you or youre financial situation, most of as share the very same boat i believe..The point being, you don't need to spend big to get nice set of monitors and amp/reciever but we cant talk about logitech or any of these for 60$ speakers, you just won't get it delivered.
Just stop by at your local hifi store and ask them if you can play your CD and see for yourselfs

@Johncro- It would be considerably more than your current budget but getting the ''right'' speakers that will last you for many years to come and make you feel underdressed every time you play your fav tune could cost you about 160? + reciever at around same from ebay for example for nice entry hifi set.

If you however insist that 60$ is and will be your budget I'd get logitech i guess.

Had bad experiences with Logitech, I don't think I'm going to buy them at all. To me they are either DOA's or break after a month of use.

Same here. I had a Logitech Z323 speaker set which broke after 4 months.
Sub went out the window never to be seen again - Brilliant sound for ?35quid though, just not robust enough.
I've bought a headset and a mouse from them in the past and both broke right away under what I'd call normal usage tbh..

Avoid Logitech.

I'm pretty much leaning towards the Eagle Tech's just because:
a) 63 dollars
b) Good reviews on the site
c) Good reviews on youtube
d) the size of the system, I like the big size, it will complement my room nicely
e) It works with my xbox, PC, TV, and more

Although I would like some more opinions on both.

Look dude, what i didnt work for i simply didn't get, even as teenager I had to show some damn effort to get whatever i wanted, so dont sell me this shit with dad that got me whatever my mind came across.As of being rich,I never said you have to be, to get some real nice audio set up ( we could easily get to 50000$ or way more ) quite cheap too but where quite cheap ends?What i was trying to point at is you never gonna get supersport car for price of toyota, you might get close alright BUT its not THAT unless you of course get a second hand which still have THAT in it, just aint new.
We're not talking here about reasonably ''nice'' sounding speakers for majority of PC's right? Well we would be, if OP expressed himself as somebody who apprechiate clear/crisp or whatever sound, sure but not as an audiophile.

Anyway I wish OP get himself the best speakers he can and be happy with them.
I wish i could be more of help than pain in the *** but my knowladge in that segment is rather limited

at the $60 range I dont think you will really find what you are looking for as I noticed you said parties and things of that nature. I know cuz iv been there. For a set of good 2.1 set get Logitech Z-2300 they get loud as hell, sound great for $130ish and are real robust. I had a set for about 4 years then had that at full blast at a party for about 6 hours and they worked perfectly untill somebody knocked one of the satellites off the stand and it fell. Called Logitech the next work day and they sent me a whole new set for free even though they were LONG past the 1 year warranty. look up the Z-2300 and you will be hard pressed to find a poor review.
