connection to server has been lost

Post by feda »

I decided to jump back into PR after a long time, but I can't play normally. I regularly get the error "connection to server has been lost" and it boots me from the server. After that, I can immediately reconnect. I find a good, communicative squad and then BOOM, my game is ruined again  . This happens only in PR. I also play BC2 and AA3, both work without any issues.

How can I fix this? Perhaps there is a connection timeout limit somewhere in the config files that I can increase?

I tested about 5-6 "fixes" from that thread and nothing worked. Any other suggestions?

Check out your router. Make sure everything is how it's supposed to be (Connection speed etc.)
Open PR - Settings - Game(?) - Make sure you're connection is set on "Cable *somethingsomething* or better", not LAN.

That is out of the question. Only the admin has access to our router and I'm sure everything is in order.

The connection in-game is set to the best possible option.

Can you confirm that the game works on a different computer in the same network, this would narrow the issue down to your PC instead of the router/ISP.
