RPG Arty Battery/Nerf

In the new 0.966 patch, i believe the RPG has been nerfed/affected alot, solely by the fact that the RPG's speed and trajectory had been reduced ALOT so the effectiveness also has been reduced more, even though the RPG was already bad. :( :( :( :(
This is even more damaging at insurgent maps when you have no scopes when the enemy infantry & armour can shoot you from miles off. :evil: :evil: :evil:

Please bring back the older stats of the RPG please...

In the video at 0:05 it hits a hill across the valley almost instantaneously and the trajectory is not as extreme as in game. :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil:

PS: Additional screenshot of my team giving up because of the nerfed RPG, so we made a RPG battery (thanks to *NWA* server) and apparently managed to kill some blufor

Last pic, has Merlin who tried to suicide to kill our "RPG BATTERY" but only managed to injure us. There was also a second attempt by a lynx but we shot it down with over 9 people firing RPG simultaneous before it hit us. Miraculous we managed to win the game :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock:

And whats with the cream coloured shovel???

I agree actually, they sued to be accurate upto 150 meters but now it's something like 100 meters, I think this is great, also you could just... yanno.... aim up a bit.....

But the suggestion forum isn't open for a reason btw nor is the feedback section.

It does come down almost vertically now over long range. Maybe with battery of RPG`s you can take down enemies in ditches or hiding behind buildings :D

Im sure the RPG will become efficient when people get used to it and learn how to use it.

I was soooooo going to write a post on this, but even doing a cursory search which turned up nothing, I was a little apprehensive about it.

I fired a PG-7VR at the side of a Warrior... this was AFTER several fail shots with a PG-7VM on a previous map... so I THOUGHT I had the whole new extreme Kentucky windage down well enough. Enemy is maybe 75 meters away, I am ABOVE the vehicle, and the round lands maybe 20m in front of me. Talk about impotence.

There isn't even a range indicator on the thing, since it now shoots like an M203 - if that.

Real RPG-7's have a flat-trajectory range of 300 meters.

On the other hand, they also have a reload time in the 10-15 second range...

If someone gets the new RPG mortar elevation down, please post!

"Football field" is sometimes used as a length unit, equal to 100 yards (91 meters).

And flap, one more thing, this image in your signature is awesome, it looks like a photo, how did you do this?

People need to stop whining about the rpg, so it drops more. Deal with it, its not that great at long ranges anyways. Youl get used to it and be fine, was lobbing rpgs at a fob on karbala yesterday, took two shots to get the arc right and then I was raining explosives on them.

Im NOT loving having 5 players sat in the ins main constant reloading and 1 guy out on the battlefield calling in adjustments for the RPG morta teams. May have to put a stop to this if it happens on our server. Fun but not team work.

If thats the effective range then so be it we will get use to it but please adjust the sights.

To aim even 150meters you have to look so high in the sky that the thing your trying to hit is off the bottom of your screen.

Time to draw a dot on my screen where the iron sight would be so I can no scope the RPG to be able to see the target.

The effective range of an RPG7 is 200m. The current drop is way to exaggerated.

Hit probabilities
Afghan National Police officer at a training site, ready to fire an RPG round.

A US Army evaluation of the weapon gave the hit probabilities on a 5 meter wide (15 feet), 2.5 meter tall (7.5 feet) panel moving sideways at 4 meters per second (9 miles per hour).[5] This probability decreases when firing into crosswind due to the unusual behaviour of the round; in a 7-mile (11 km) -per-hour wind, the gunner cannot expect to get a first-round hit more than 50% of the time beyond 180m.

Hehe I was there at the RPGtillery battery, but it was for fun because we were tired of trying to effectively fire the RPGs. I'm sure it was a one time thing because although it was hilarious it wasn't very effective lol. Although we did scare off most enemies and even got some kills.

The reason for it however was clear. Targets beyond 100m are ridiculously hard to hit and you can completely forget about hitting anything that is on higher ground. I'll have to try it out more in the coming weeks before raging about it but I liked the old trajectory better. Don't really care about speed, I think that's a nice change so moving vehicles are hard to hit.

I was in a squad attacking the two T-shapes in the south east. Was touch and go, some came very close. Although when you hit your own outpost at the base of the northen T building we did lol a bit.

firing blind isnt the way forward.

Oh, believe me, I get that... it's the fact that they used the term in a military field manual, as if the knuckle draggers on the ground couldn't handle numeric distance. They then go on to use numeric increments elsewhere.
