after yall released .96
like the title says, after yall released .96 i thought things couldnt get any worse (with my beloved rpg's fubar'd and among onther things) and then you go and release .97 outa nowhere
and completely redeem yourselves!
on a serious note, i've been around here since the begining and officially joined the forums after .2 and .96 is the only time i can remember not wanting to play pr in my free time. i've yet to play through .97 thoroughly but i did test my rpg and the speed is back to normal.....so, yall are in my good graces again but we'll see for reals, this weekend....i've got a notepad full of feed back just waiting.....and now i hope i need to go re-edit it....

Amen.
Though I think this is normal, at some point people b*tch and whine about the game being bad/not full enough, DEV's put a lot of effort and time in it, release a version and even after that sh*t people are still whining.
Want something new? Sit back and wait.
Don't like it, nobody's holding you back not to play.
But on the other hand, many changes are set (in my opinion/point of view) without even asking the big player database if it would be a good change, not that the players are that important for the mod, but no players = no mod.
So I think that it would be better to not implement many minor changes unless there's a need for it from the players.

I thought .96 was good, although it didn't have that epic feel for me like when .95 was released probably because I before then I didn't play PR since like version .7.

Fastropes, night vision, silencers, spec ops and trowing knifes are all we need.
But hey, if you have loads of stuff waiting to be released on the feedback section, why not just post it there when its opened instead of whining here?

0.97 isn't all that different from 0.96 o.o
A few good bug fixes, that's great, but it's still pretty much the same. Which doesn't mean it's bad, because 0.96 was awesome already. PR gets better with every version tbh, the only two problems currently are:
a) The player base, as always, being hardcoded, and even with PR getting better, they'll always moan or not play the way it was intended, leading to more moaning
b) The upcoming release of PR:ArmA 2 and BF3 invoking the feeling in some people that PR:BF2 would now be "dying", despite what the numbers say. It's bollocks of course, but that's probably the reason for some of the moaning recently.

there you have it, a statement of support and approval in traditional Dutch-finest charcoal-English, typed out phonetically.

Re: after yall released .96
i think most of the moaning about .96 could be attributed to the major speed change on the RPGs and bugs that really effected game play. After all .97 was mostly fixes. (havent had the chance to play it though...stupid college) the rest of the changes were good in my opinion in .96Spec wrote:0.97 isn't all that different from 0.96 o.o

as they say, in the eyes the common folk the bad things almost always overshadow the good things no matter how insignificant and few they are.
Information in the hands of a critical thinker is invaluable, information alone is simply dangerous.

@Wakain I think me meant to say that if you were going to use a regional dialect, you should spell it in a way that is readable and doesn't require guessing - not that you should deviate from regular english for the sake of it.
@Bringer: Ye, the RPG thing was the only really big bug that I noticed. Some minor stuff, but really, nothing big. 0.97 and 0.96 are essentially the same, even the bugs didn't make a huge difference, which is why I'm surprised by people going all "0.96 was teh fail, 0.97 is teh epic wins"
