The references are stated in the 1st post.Raegron wrote:Sounds nice!
Where did you get the sounds from?
Thx, I recorded it myself in the field. Although its an M240 from the beginning, with little mixing and volume tweaking.Napoleon_TR wrote:wow PKM sound almost same like as real life. Great Job.
They sound louder in 1st person view ofcourse because of the stereo that makes it much more powerful for your ears.aurimas wrote:I wonder what if the guns would sound louder while shooting for the firstlook player becouse after shoting full magazine with no ear protection is very loud. It would be much scarier and more fun to shot while some guns are very loud like AK4 it would make you to blink while you shoting in the game![]()
I know what you mean there, but since many have complained about the echoes and I also thought youre spending more time in open fields I went for the short echoes. But its so hard to make it fit everyone's taste. Its impossible. There would always be people complaining no matter what you do.USMC scout sniper wrote:Honestly, I think you should've kept the supposedly "overpowered" echoes and trail offs. I've shot various weapons at the outdoor shooting range the echo is very sharp and clear. But IMO, now the guns sound a bit too underpowered. I liked the first sound sample you made when the guns had a sharp, clear echo to them. Most of the echoes as of now, no joke, sound like my cap gun. Just a BANG followed by a dull, quiet trail off. I think it should be a bang, followed by a sharp echo, trail off, and sonic crack. Kinda like in this video: Arma 2: RWS sound mod test - YouTube. I'm not very good at describing things.I hope this, so to speak, paints a clearer picture in your brain.
Good luck,Anders. So far, you're doing pretty good, keep it up.
Stand them without earplugs and shoot with an M249 whole clip irl, then they would complain about their ears hurting. Put on their earplugs, and the would complain about the sound beeing muffled.
Well, Im sry guys some sound references are from BFBC2 game and I've asked dice for permission to work with their sounds, but they haven't answered me yet. Some of these sounds can therefore not get into the next update, this is copyrighted material says the PR-DEVS. And I agree with them. Although I would like to know if they went out and buy all their soundarchives for all of their sounds? If they ALSO went out recording their own sounds? I hardly believe so. But still, I understand them.
Although there's nothing that wont let you play with these anyways as a mod.
But again, I haven't stolen someone else work. One sound of mine can contain 10 sounds from everywhere, including my own.
So for now, lets stop asking where the sounds came from. This is MY work for PR mod, not trying to steal or destroy, just trying to make something better that's already good. This is afterall a mod with no profits beeing made, I suppose?
I'll release the mod soon...
Heres some new samples I tried for the M249, M4, M16 and MG3. I think the sound better than the old ones. But again, it's a matter of taste.
Take care guys.
