I don't think it's the difficulty, I think it's the type of game. When a person comes from Call of Duty, where everyone are insulting each other with God knows what words they've got problems fitting into this community. This is what I've been noticing for a long time now. When these people enter the community and they think it's okay to act like a fucktard without having to worry about anything - they're wrong. It's ruining both their own and others experience of the mod.

I only recently started playing PR so I can't comment on the past community, but even in its current form it's miles and miles ahead of just about any other game, thanks to both the players and the servers which enforce quality gameplay.

Even the worst squad in most PR games has 1000 times more communication and teamwork than your average vBF2 pub squad, to say nothing of other more popular and newer games. I think that, more than the gameplay(though that indirectly helps in promoting teamwork), sets it apart from any other game.

Project Reality... no joke is the best.

ARMA 2... well, I never played PR version YET. I heard it's still good in 'beta' form.

Have to say that I haven't been ofended by another player in a very long time. This is what I'm talking about, those things were more common in the past.

And here is an absolute truth, time gives you more experienced players. Sure we have lost a good few. But I dare say this; those still playing from the old days (like me) are more in procentage compared to fresh ones than ever before.

Hince the better overall gaming experience in PR nowdays IMO.
Keep up the good teamwork PR-players =)

About a dedicated logisquad. Who needs that? I'll establish my own fob pls. Hate when players make those. Usually place fobs anywhere but where it's needed most. A dedicated logisquad says nothing about overall teamwork.
Love for the helidrops =)

This is an interesting question. How many DEVs actually play still?

Present.
As far as I know a bunch of us still play from time to time, some more than others. I play regularly in the weekends anyways, it's also one of the few games I play regularly. You've got to consider though that next to modding there's a lot of the team that have serious real life commitments that take up a lot of time. Playing PR usually requires setting aside quite a bit of time (I prefer to take my time for it anyways) and not everyone may always be able to do that (not only Devs either).

Probably happens on a regular basis as new players come in. How are they supposed to know about bf2s engine limitations.

By reading through the forums? I think that approximately 2000 threads about fastrops should be enough for anyone to realize its not quite possible to implement :D .

PR is unlike anything else. God bless PR, and the devs, and the players, and everyone that could make this wonderful mod become what it is today. Hehe. :D

BTW, did you guys ever though of adding fastropes to the game?
