Burning Sands Easter Egg
Just found this while looking at Burning Sands in the editor. I love Rudd, he is such a nice guy! (Bet this has already been found and a thread made about it and I am going to look like a massive dong)

Judging from the screen, the text was hidden at the bottom of the oasis

Which means we're not able to see it unless we open the map-editor. So let's not all gather up at the oasis looking for that text, guys.CroCop wrote:Judging from the screen, the text was hidden at the bottom of the oasis

Live long and Prosper!
Space... The final frontier... These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise.
Its mission, to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life, and new civilization.
To boldly go were no man has gone before.

Love star trek, and i love rudd. I think i saved some cool stuff people wrote about him earlier. 2sec:

I miss you rudd... I really miss you.DM JIGSAW
.:iGi:.Rudd_Medicman - Understands a firefight like no1 I have ever met, knows exactly where his squad should be placed and is able to dictate their movements with a minimum of fuss. Above all gets the people under his command playing at their absolute best.
-iGi rudd-Medicman(can never remember this name properly)- another good SL, had lots of fun in his squad.
Rudd: XD
DM WICCA
Anyways, i want to recommend Rudd, he is a really good squadleader, and i never get bored with playing with him, or alongside him in a platoon.
He makes you laugh, but he also makes you perform really well, and you dont give up on your role, you keep staying tacical, you could say he makes me play this game for the right reasons. He is not one of those squadleaders who makes you do stupid stuff for stupid reasons. He makes you do stupid stuff, for hilarious reasons.
I think alot of you would agree, rudd is one of those squadleaders you remember, for a long time, not for his awesomness, or his humor, but for his way of leading. I cant put my finger on it, but he is truly something for himself
So rudd, i really look up to you man, keep up the good work, and keep shining, that round on muttrah, was extremly nice.
After playing for some rounds with Rudd_Medicman as SL lately, i can only agree with Wicca. Rudd is a great SL, so good infact that imo, he deserves a second notion in this thread . He certainly belongs to the better squadleaders out there, and is so far one of the best i've played with.

Qft
I can only agree with the above writers.
Frosty, Rudd and Gazz are all topnotch leaders.
Have been lucky enough to play with Rudd_Medicman several times over the past few days and it was bloody good fun, he's a fantastic squad leader so if anyone gets the chance to join his squad, do so, you won't regret it!
i've been playing with Rudd in the last few days, and so far he's been a good squad leader.

Actually I've seen it before ingame. Just go for a stroll along the lake next time, and at certain angles you can see the writing.saXoni wrote:Which means we're not able to see it unless we open the map-editor. So let's not all gather up at the oasis looking for that text, guys.

That's awesome.
When I was updating Tad Sae for the map pack I discovered that Nick Bond (the map's original creator) had spelled out his name using undergrowth (grass).

You'd never notice it in-game, but it was a cool way to leave a mark on the map.

Thanks for the compliments lol, I like it when mappers add things like this, like a signature on a portrait they are proud of.
Rhino got special mention because he helped me with n00b questions alot.
If I ever finish Burning Sands v1.5, I'll add more things like this
