Hello community, how are you?

I'm now, making a re-proposal to make the Brazilian Armed Forces as well as the FARC forces.

I won't write a full and long thread talking about what I have in mind, at least not everything, but I'll post some of our main features for now:

IMBEL IA-2:

Task assigned to: IIIRBR Lordlexx

Those babies are likely to be adopted by the Brazilian Armed Forces in the next year.



It's based on the FN FAL rifle, in-game, we'll see the 5.56mm Rifle, the 5.56mm Carbine and the 7.62mm Sniper Rifle.

EMB-314 Super Tucano:



Light CAS, considered a Counter-Insurgency Plane, the EMB-314 Super Tucano is the main bomber against FARC positions.

HA-1 Esquilo:



Brazilian designation for the AS550 Fennec, is used as Recon and Light Attack helicopter, so it can easily become a "Brazilian Kiowa", since it have the same armament concept, 7 un-guided rockets and a .50 machine gun.

My team is really small, it's only me as Mapper and another guy as Military Adviser, join us, we are for now needing modelers mainly.

no all the work seems to be lost, if you cant get in contact with the responsible people you have to start from scratch

Well, actually the Pantera is the French Panther, so if they wish to collaborate with us, it'll only need new textures and maybe a new HUD.

PS: Here in Chile the navy uses the Dauphin for SAR all over the country.

Yeah itd be nice to see a faction added that adds something a little more then just guns. Factions like Blackwater, african resistance and Farc etc. should have a high priority.

I have the FARC Design Plan almost ready, most of the things are already done.

Introducing Kaland to the team.

He will make both Rifle and Carbine variants of the IA-2, for now he'll make only with Iron Sights, he's not a official member of the team, since he's working on the Argentine Marksman scope and is supporting the Norwegian COMFAC, he is supporter here, and don't have the compromise to do it as priority, so don't expect him to do things really fast, also he should have RL things to do as we all.

I think that you guys should opt for Imbel FALs from original Design Plan,
instead for this new one rifles.
Equipping Army with new rifles,replacing old ones is long long process,
and we are not talking about San Marino Army but the Brazilian one,
one of the largest ones in the world.
Just my thoughts.

I might be mistaken, and correct me if i am but i believe the IMBAL FAL is being outphased, not sure though but one possibility is to have both as for examble the norwegians i believe will have both the soon outphased AG3 and the HK416.
And then have one of them as an ALT weapon.

No,it is still in use,Brazilian Army still uses about almost half of million of these,
and I didn't included Carbine and SAW versions.
New Rifle is still in testing phase I believe,and I think that is only few thousand have been built.
Like I have said,phasing out old rifle and replacing it with new one plus training men with new one
is really time consuming process,I know because here in my country it took more than 10 years
and new rifle is adopted only by Special Branches of Military.

Making a faction for PR is also a rather lengthy process, simeon. Although it will likely take less then 10 years, it will take some time, so its good to plan ahead. Not to mention that PR is set a little bit into future, see german Puma IFV that went ingame even before it entered service IRL, iirc.

On the other hand speaking about FAL family of weapons, Falkands are in need of a new rifles for both factions because the present model is inaccurate, so it wouldnt hurt if somebody made brand new FAL family of weapons, including british L1A1, argentine FM FAL, brazilian IMBEL FAL and the FN FAP lmg. It goes without saying that it would take much less time then if four different artist made these four weapons separately.

The IA-2 is sexiest

But yeah, the FAL is being out-phased but really slowly, IIRC we have only a Parachute Division using the IA-2 so far, but the project is out there since 2010 IIRC, so I see no problem in having the IA-2 since the Divisions in the Amazon region, which is what we want to make here, are going to receive the IA-2 first.

Simeon, the MA have been on the Army and he told me what to place on the Design Plan, and he agreed with me to put the IA-2, and as Lucky told, PR is in the near future.

I don't want Kaland to make a rifle that maybe in the release of the COMFAC will be retired, would be his work spent for nothing, this is why I told him to make the IA-2.

I will not act smart,you guys should do what you think it is best.
But I am still convinced that you should use FALs . . .
As for tank . . . Do you think that it would be easier to ask
guys from EoD to borrow their M60 tank instead modeling Leo1 ?
