The random spawning was a welcome challenge, and seemed to cut down on the need for multiple admins to supervise the round-start. The first event was smoothly run but this time it was just perfect; no waiting at all. This is a huge bonus in a community where events tend to get going far later than anticipated.
3-man teams seemed to work out very well. I don't have a whole lot to add on that note since Red and I were only a 2-man team, but it felt like facing larger groups added an element of increased danger/tension.
I'm not really sure what I think of the respawn system (each team getting 1 respawn to use at their discretion). I kind of feel it overcomplicates things and detracts a little from the tension, but if people prefer having a second chance then I have no complaints.
Again, this was a great event and I look forward to participating more in future. My partner was a Survival Games virgin and he loved it too. Waiting in our Teamspeak channel before the event began, he said it felt like waiting for a rollercoaster to start, which is a perfect analogy IMO.
