Not really, old steel helmets and other gear - yes, it's kinda correct for the middle of nowhere Motorized Infantry. But "flora" - no. The new uniform is literally everywhere, my friend serves in a shithole, they use old as hell ak-74, and they still got the new uniforms(they hate it) in digital camo few years ago, how can it be correct if pr takes place in a near future?Sgt. TO DEVS: If the genie of hardcoding came into your house and granted you one wish to have something that is currently hardcoded put into the game, what would it be?

So many to pick from but one that springs to my head is destroyable children, would open up a hell of a lot of possibilities. Funny thing is that it's even a feature on the BF2142 engine but DICE never ported it back to the BF2 engine for us modderssweedensniiperr wrote:TO DEVS: If the genie of hardcoding came into your house and granted you one wish to have something that is currently hardcoded put into the game, what would it be?

lol, quoting it like that it sounds like I want to kill little kiddies in the road
Encase anyone is confused by what I mean by that children is the technical term for items attached to an object (parent) so for example, you would be able to destroy wheels on cars since a wheel is a child object to the car

Really? Ill take your word. Man, I thought Flora was still in moderate use among Ground Forces. DigiFlora (or whatever they call it) is ugly. I swear I have seen some recent pictures of Flora in use somewhere, Ill have to dig around.Unhealed wrote:Not really, old steel helmets and other gear - yes, it's kinda correct for the middle of nowhere Motorized Infantry. But yeah, they probably need replacing. (They were already old when they were modeled haha)

Not really, it depends on the manufacturer and there is some pattern variations. I think it's actually good think that dev's didn't updated textures, becouse "cifra" pattern are constantly changes becouse they try to improve it's poor effectiveness. And no, soliders don't hate it becouse it's acid green, but simply becouse the uniform itself is bad in terms of quality and strange design decisions.DigiFlora is ugly
I saw it too, it's really rare though. Most of it is just pants for example while everything else is "cifra".I swear I have seen some recent pictures of Flora in use somewhere, Ill have to dig around.

Also good.
But would it tax the servers too much to make brick walls into several sections to be destroyable?

Then the body armour+helmets.
Russians do not always throw away surplus/older gear to civilians like U.S. does.
There is a tier system; first tier gets the newest stuff, second tier might get some new stuff, third might get mostly last generation's stuff...etc. Not limited to personal gear.
I personally prefer the old-fashioned M88 cut; so I just buy a cifra oversuit/cover thing to go with my 6sh112 and fake 6b23.
Afghanka looks best:

Speaking of Russian uniform...
Anyone interested in a PR: Cold War minimod?

Cold war isn't a war... Some wars were fought during that time but the Cold War refers to the United States and Russia never pushing the red button.

Vietnam is not cool enough; not to mention it has Chinese voiceover.zombie-yellow wrote:PR:Vietnam ?

As in U.S. vs. Soviet Union in Germany. Maybe include East and West Germans into it.
Can do some asymmetrical balance on tanks with T-62 in big numbers vs. a few M1 abrams.
Can have some models slightly altered for Aks-74 and M16A2.
Oldschool gear with more open terrain(German countryside); more focus on MotorRifles, less air transport(or none at all), with less effective AT weapons so armoured vehicles are once again more awesome. Basically opposite of falklands. Vehicles will be less vulnerable; but no thermal imaging so infantry can hide better.
Like many PR maps; it will be "what if" scenario.
Best of all; many weapons in PR right now can be reused; just need some new kit geometry(could also just modify some militia ones).

I am not interested in helping with the current minimods(because all the stuff are being taken care of already, I assume).zombie-yellow wrote:Can we 100% finish our current mini-mods before thinking of the next ones ? lol
But if a Soviet Union vs. NATO at germany mod is allowed; I like to use some free time to work on it and learn how to model + whatever needs to be done.
Also good; and it is going to be basically same gear for Soviets.[R-CON]rodrigoma wrote:I would like a 1979 soviet war on afghanistan minimod![]()

Yes. Three minimods developing in a same time is already too much. Perhaps if not these mini-mod's we would already had 1.0 beta releasedzombie-yellow wrote:Can we 100% finish our current mini-mods before thinking of the next ones ? lol

I thought they cut minimods from 1.0v release so it does not interfere.Unhealed wrote:Yes. Three minimods developing in a same time is already too much. Perhaps if not these mini-mod's we would already had 1.0 beta released![]()
If it involves AK and surplus Soviet equipment; I would jump right on it.CTRifle wrote:There is TONS of work to do still ComradeX if you want to learn haha, just look at some of the tasks, things from weapons to vehicles still need to be madeMore help the better

Re: Ask the [Dev]s a (?)
I always thought a "Cold War Hot" scenario would be great for PR as well. And I'd certainly be willing to learn how to do stuff to make it happen.
Though maybe starting with more pressing matters would be a good idea. People were just mentioning the need for an NH90 in one of the other threads...
