about Chinese voice

Post by Marton »

Hello everyone,

I must say that the BF2 is the game, which with the worst Chinese voice I ever seen. A friend has wrote a E-mail to EA before many years ago and ask why, and the EA explained: they had only so few money to pay for the guys with so bad Chinese language skill. :(

So, I am glad to see that in PR 1.0, the G.I. and Britian have a much better voice. I hope that the Chinese voice can gat better too. If this sounds intressting for you, I think me and my guys can help with it. For free, of course. and by the way, we are all orginal Chinese from main land China.

Best regard and have a nice day.

Hi Marton,

The problem with getting new voices is that we need volunteers, with good recording equipment etc, to record all the voices for us. Its not something we can create from scratch ourselves in 3DsMax or Photoshop unfortunately so if you and/or some guys you know are up for recording some new voices then we would all very much appreciate some new voices :D

I hope the OP was kidding about the Brit voices because there are definitely mixed feelings among the player base. :P

The new British SL sounds badass as fuck! But the grunt sounds somehow weird, I think it is the recording.

The old grunt voice was very cool, dunno why Anders bothered recording again. What we need is new IDF voices, they sound horrible right now.

All British voices sounded supergay if you ask me. It's a LOT better now.

Anyways, can't wait for New Chinese and Arabic voices!

yeah I also think so. The old british voice sounded funky and now it is like normal person.

I`m doing my bachlor work for a moment and will have time after 16th aug. At first I will send you guys some demo. And if it`s OK, the whole job will be accomplich in 1 month.

I'm actually thinking of recording new voices for the Arabic factions. I just need someone who speaks fluent Arabic to help me translate what they would say into spelled out English. I can pronounce different languages with no problem, just need to know what to say.

Just for the lols. How bad exactly are the current chinese voices? As in, how badly translated are they? Is there many mistakes in them?

Don't get ahead of yourself, sir, the "new" Vietnamese voices sound like (four different people) if you play all sounds. :(
