Some keybinds not working while i press Mouse 1 button

This is an issue i've not encountered before in other games.
I'm not a WASD player, my Mouse1 button is set to move Forward.

Now the problem is that when i'm moving forward ingame, so i'm keeping Mouse1 pressed, i can't open the map or access radio menus. Which means that i have to stop everytime i need to open a menu.

As a workaround i tried to bind the thumbmousebutton to move Forward, well then i CAN open map / radio menu while i'm moving forward. But strangely enough, binding thumbmousebutton to Forward causes my move Backwards bind, Spacebar, to vanish from controls.

Is this a bug? Is there a possible fix for it?

I asked a friend to test and he has this too. Keep right mouse button pressed, then it's impossible to open the map.

Surely i'm not the only one who has +forward on rightmousebutton?

You just might be the only person who uses a mouse button to walk in a FPS.

this is an inherent feature of the BF2 engine, go try same thing in vanilla BF2 and you'll get same error.
