Disconnection Problem...

Post by matty1053 »

Ever since 1.1.1 was released. I have been seeing and having tons of Disconnection problems.

I had a squad today, my god. About 1 out of 5 people on my team disconnected.

1.1.0 was fine. But w/ this new patch it's everyone dcing.

I had this pop up in my firewall log though....

Code: Select all

*Note, I had about 3 rounds of no DCing today....

I was attempting to play online just about a second ago.

Servers in order of firewall log...

1.CIA

2.CIA

3.DRK

4.CIA

My friend that is in NYC has been having this issue.

So it's NOT an ISP issue.

It's nothing to do w/ hardware either. Strictly something that changed in the 1.1.1 update that is causing a ton to do this.

Have you tried disabling your firewall before playing? I'm not saying that's the long term solution, just to narrow down what the problem is.

There's nothing in the python code that has changed recently that I can see that would cause the client-side UDP flow to show up as a DOS attack, at least that's changed since 1.0.

I don't have access to the binaries' source code, so the only thing it could be is a mumble change, but as far as I know, there haven't been mumble updates since 1.0 was released.

So someone is attacking my firewall?

I have my gateway at lowest firewall setting.

But it's not mumble, afaik.
I can hear voices of people talking while my game is disconnecting from the server. Then when it returns to the main menu, I can't hear it anymore.

I already re-installed the game.
I am gonna check in my McAfee firewall settings. Will edit this after I have checked.

EDIT, if I disable UPNP Ports on McAfee (Ports... 5000,1900,2869, ect), will it effect my game?
