fraps problems

When i try to use fraps to measure my fps and take screenshots and such, my mouse suddenly becomes very unresponsive and choppy. it only happens in pr, not any other game i have tried. any ideas why this happens? here is my system specs:

You can try lowering your settings like turning dynamic light off or setting everything to medium to low settings or adjusting the resolution or run in a window to compensate the lost frames while recording with Fraps. You have to experiment with it to get it as close to normal.

I recommend against using fraps since its a bad program to begin with. if you soley want to see your FPS open the in-game console and type "renderer.drawfps 1". This will show you your fps in the top left corner.

Edit: this topic is a year old... I guess it doesnt really matter anymore

Fraps has issues with Windows 8.1, i used it at the office to record instruction movies and had to switch to Microsoft Expression Encoder for that to work on that platform.

Download Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 from Official Microsoft Download Center

Its free and maybe it will do the job as well.
