How does suggestions sub-forum work?

Post by Careless »

Hi,

I'd just like to ask;
how does the suggestion sub-forum work?

I posted two suggestions, which by me are worth discussing, but still it's being approved by admins.

Could I get a reason for this?

Thank you

Cause they still need to approve it. they cannot do that 24/7.

And if they think it's not worth discussing or a re-suggestion then it will never become visible.

What Mineral said.

PR has been around for so long that just about everything possible has been suggested/tried at some point.

There seem to be a lot of pointless suggestion about different VIP/insurgency gamemodes that never come into existence, suggestions about adding very important nations and factions, splitting hairs about weapon loud-out, and about the greatest "problem" of PR; namely the sniper-kit.

Suggestion that could make the game more interesting (I think so) like; spawnable fake caches for the insurgency are just meh..

They were not in the already suggested suggestion list.

Anyway..

The reason why your suggestion wasn't approved is it simply isn't possible to code (at least not without an extreme clunky work around) and as such its not worth discussing unless you can bring us a method of doing it in a non-clunky fashion on the BF2 engine.

Forums and people are not hardcoded, a simple messaging system with reasons and such would be cool

Eitherway, thank you for the enlightenment

Yes many of us devs agree and we have asked our forum manager to implement such a feature in a forum where the suggester can still see posts from devs/mods in their topic and also reply to them before its approved to let them know its a re-suggestion or not possible etc (which is possible on the vBulletin forums, although may require a mod), but to no avail...

Also I forgot to mention your suggestion was also a re-suggestion btw.

I think like 80% of the suggestions that are dissaproved are the result of the BF2 Engine not capable.

I was playing PR and some R-DEV told me that. lol I wasn't suprised.
