PR has to be my favorite game of all time. I have not played in a while though, and was hoping someone could answer these questions before I shell out 20 bucks to EA to buy BF2 once again:
-Can you find a BF2: PR server that is populated any time of the day? In the US?
-What about an insurgency-only server?
-which is the most popular version of PR (i.e. BF2 vs Arma 3)?
How active is PR these days?

In other words:
Yes, it's quite likely to find a full or nearly-full (during peak times easily several 100 player filled) servers of PR:BF2. Usually only one or two of the full servers will be US servers, while there are normally several European ones.
PR:BF2 is quite populated. I wouldn't buy ArmA 3 just yet, for PR. (You should probably consider buying it anyway, for its own sake^^)

Between CIA and HOG there is almost always a server with 90ish people on it for the BF2 mod. There are also a couple European servers (Britain, Germany) that are usually full or fullish that you wouldn't get terrible ping on.
Essentially how it works is there are a few people who will only play on one of the two servers, but 90% don't give the slightest fuck and just go to whichever has more people. When one server crashes, they go to the other one.
