Did you install BF2, patch 1.41, 1.5 and the alt tab fix?

Is BF2 running without problems?

What version of BF2 do you own?
Origin download?
EADM download?
Retail CD?

Looks like your CDKey is incorrectly stored in your registry.

If you have Origin, right click on the BF2 and get your CDKey,
then start PRLauncher, go to Support->Keys tab, then reenter your CDKey, click Apply.

then test.

Can't go to the supports tab because when I press ok for the error it shuts down the launcher.

At this point, uninstall BF2.

When you reinstall, boot BF2 once and get to the first screen, in the corner it will tell you the version number.
Write that down, and post it here.

It's possible your retail CDs/DVD is prior to version 1.2X, and you need to download the 1.22 FULL patch, before installing the 1.41 full patcvh in our instalation guide, BUT I DON"T KNOW until you post back with the version that is installed from your media DVD/CDs.

Please follow our installation guide, step by step:
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f27-pr ... guide.html

Your CDKey is invalid. IDK if it's a priate key, a banned key, or whatever.

No no no no no...

This is an issue with 1.1.0.0. It was fixed in 1.1.1.0. You just need to get to that version.

Read this:
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f27-pr ... ost1972331

Long story short, delete your cd key using the provided program and re-enter it when the launcher prompts you to. Then update to v1.1.1.0 (it will be offered when you launch the game), and you're good to go.

EDIT: Sigh, too late... You will still need to do this regardless if you re-install or not.

Yes, reinstall patch 1.41 and patch 1.5. You do not need to reinstall PR.

Once you have done this, you will have to delete your cd key and re-enter it, as described in my previous post.

Usually CTD's joining an online server is caused by an invalid CD Key.

Confirm that your cd key is valid:
Launcher -> Support -> Keys tab

Otherwise, if that's valid, then try running in windowed mode:
Launcher -> Options -> Video tab -> Uncheck Fullscreen

This is so you can try and get any error messages displayed (they don't get displayed in fullscreen). If no error messages display, try making a local game:
Menu -> Deployment -> Create Local

PRBF2 has been closed, cleaning up resources.

Also happend when I created a local game.
