Try this:
'[R-COM wrote:LITOralis.nMd;1980809']First a disclaimer: This is a C++ issue and I am not knowledgable in this language. Only a few guys on the PR team can actually troubleshoot this error.

Here is my best guess:

Guess 1: Reinstall this: Download Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 from Official Microsoft Download Center

Guess 2: Uninstall, then clean, then reinstall this:
Try uninstalling and then reinstalling Microsoft .NET Framework 4 and Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1

Tutorial:
How to Repair the Microsoft .NET Framework - YouTube

Do not uninstall Microsoft .NET Framework 2 , 3, or 3.5 !!

offline installer for Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1
Download Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1 (Offline Installer) for Windows Vista SP2, Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 SP2 Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 and Windows Server 2012 from Official Microsoft Download Center
Also as we recently found out, if your B.I.T.S. service is turned off, it will break our updater. So check that in services.msc .

Here is a thread where malware shut off BITS and was the cause:

IF your BITS will not turn on wen you do a normal boot into win7, you can try this:
A general troubleshooting strategy here, should help googling the BITS problem which is a serious serious problem:
Boot into safe mode, uninstall and reinstall BITS.
reregister the (I think 4) dlls associated with BITS.

You need to head to the MBAM support website or bleepingcomputer forum probably, you need to run Hijackthis and other more specific rootkits scanners... if BITS is broken.

The last time I had this problem I ended up doing a full reformat... but that was winXP and like 6 years ago.
