Thank you to the community, I bet alot of those players are returning players rather than completely new.

It's important for the veterans to be inclusive and welcoming to all these new guys and gals, remember to have patience and have fun everyone :)

Markedly increased the people on the servers. And veterans who have gone before and beginners. Although newcomers dont look like beginners: Always listen SL`s and go after him ;-)

teaching new players is all well and good and should be done BUT heres the rub.......

ive noticed a MASSIVE influx of playesr who dont give a shit to learn the game and way its meant to be played.

must be in a squad?! ill just create one and not lead it and play by myself
cant use sniper?! eff my squad ill sit here in this awesome sniper spotzzz with mah rifelmanz SHUT UO NOT M DADZ
have to walk to obj?!?! ill just steal this logi and drive it to mah sniperzz spotss and get it blown up eff my squad.....

i think its important that the server admins harshly enforce their rules against these types and encourage the types that are willing to learn. otherwise you may have got a bunch of new players but the vets that have kept this going for years (not including myself only been here a year) are being sold out for a little publicity and the gameplay that made PR is being sacrificed on the altar of "zzommmggzz we will seellzz tonz of squad!"

I've been on vacation (holiday) since this past Friday at noon EST and just got home at 1700 Tuesday EST. I've missed most of the excitement this weekend with PR 1.3. I logged in to PRSPY on my iPhone and was impressed with the player numbers the whole weekend even at the old "slow times". I hope we can convert a lot of these new players into PR players!

I'm downloading the .iso now via torrent and would like to thank all of those people still seeding! 2.8 MB/s and I should be back in the game soon!

(Edit: Now up to 3.9 MB/s! woot!)

I don't know, I feel weird about all this. I'll miss the fact that PR won't be as close of a community as it used to be. I just hope and pray that these people will get better.

Gotta hand it to the server admins, map choice has been excellent for new players. Assault on Mestia and the likes of it has been played a lot, and it's the perfect map to learn the ropes. Also i see now the bigger maps are played more often on their INF layers, which is a good thing IMO.

Also have to say that I'm pretty impressed of our community how everyone is helping newcommers to get into the game. I mean itt always has been like that in the past, but not in this massive, awesome way!

Keep it up with the various teaching/nub squads, as those peeps will be the veterans of tomorow!
Am glad that we have such an outstanding communtiy!

Most of my friends already owned copies of BF2 for PR specifically, but I'm trying to get some of my IRL friends into PR with this new update. It's always a blast to play a tactical game that's believable.

Great couple of rounds last night @ PRTA, Operation Marlin and Fallujah west. OP Marlin - drove an APC and had for a gunner a new guy, we were MEC INF, once i told him how zooming and different types of ammo work, he did a pretty good job and we didn't loose a single APC - we managed to support our INF and cap all the flags, with some blitzkrieg tactics, we were best squad - credits to our SL as well. Fallijah west - led INF squad and we did a pretty good job together with the other squads assaulting caches and supporting each other. Finished the round with 15 0 K/D as INF SL, and my squad mainly of newbies had little to no deaths, they were trying to lone wolf at times, but as soon as i told them by name to come back with the squad everybody complied. It was Fallujah INF layout btw and we had so much fun, eventually winning tight victory over the INS.

It's nice to have new players here. It brings a lot to the games.

Only thing everyone doesn't like is the small minority of hardcore/elitist crowd that believe life is PR and love being rude and disrespect towards other players old and new. You know, those people from the clan that only care about the clan and not the people around them. You can't mod players though, but you can criticize them

What I especially hate is some squad leaders telling people to get out from transport trucks, helicopters as if it's squad specific. It's not squad specific, and they are leaving some players stranded on the base. Next time I think it's time to report those people so the admins can warn them, or simply stand your ground since these are all public vehicles/non-squad specific. That's not teamwork, that's being an ***.

Though it's really great, and I hope we reach 2000 - 3000 players which will be awesome. Amazing if it'll smash even BF2's records!

Epic games with newbie squads. My squad names were HumbleMumble and NewbieMumble. Scored best squad on 2 rounds. With nearly %50-70 of the squad as newbies. Seeing some very positive vibes. People are happy and excited about PR.

Be patient SL's there is some great potential in the new players.

Had to use VOIP and SL on one of the newest servers, because MUMB hasn't been activated yet. So much nostalgia guys, that's how we used to play PR in the good old days and they are back...
