major lag

Post by lokolo089 »

good day, i have a problem. i have decent system core i7 720qm and gtx 260m 4bg ram and fiber connection ISP is PLDT ( philippines long distance telecom), but still PR:bf2 standalone lags like hell. i have set all the graphics on low, even on single player it lags. i've never tried to run bf2 vanilla on my rig but im pretty sure im on the recommended specs or atleast close to recomended. anyone of you hace this kind of problem? temp is not even my issue.

previous versions of pr ran perfectly on my 1st laptop ( lower specs than my current laptop )

i was happy that i can play this game now without bf2, but i can't play it with this kind of problem.

Well the minimum specs specify a 1.7Ghz CPU, yours is a 1.6Ghz one, not only that, BF2 only runs in one core.
Regarding GPU I think has little no no use in BF2, its all CPU based

edit:
According to this, link, that cpu may reach 2.8 Ghz, so try that.

Dont question the wikipedia! Just because it reports different things on different languages does not make it unreliable source!

I have a 2.4 which turbos up by 15% and it is maxed out lots on PR.
PR uses much more resources than BF 2
