Welp, are you planned bigger monster like King Tiger?
BTW. Did BF2 engine allow to create turretless tanks like StuG, Hetzer etc?

Yes, actually we do have Stugs in our files and they were used on Brecourt Manor back in the day. They just aren't currently used in any maps.robert357 wrote:Welp, are you planned bigger monster like King Tiger?

They really aren't different from a normal tank other than that they have a limited "turret" rotation

I am new to the project reality , and I have a great desire to play the mod WW2 , however when I go see q does not have any active server. You have a prediction for servers?

Here's a quick WIP:
We'll let you know as soon as we have our next testing sessions. I don't believe OD-S has their server up anymore for ww2 (at least not that I've seen, could be wrong) but the best I can say is soon(tm) with any luck!Brenk wrote:I am new to the project reality , and I have a great desire to play the mod WW2 , however when I go see q does not have any active server. They still have, but it's close. That DDoS kills population and we need wait for next update and/or testing event.

Re: Ask the (WW2-DEVS) a question ?
is it possible that we use maps from BF1942 in-order to have maps for tank and Air plane Battle and other stuff !
take this map for example :
Battle of Britain
i know its too early for this but i mean taking examples from it not copy pasting it !
a question ?
are there going to be a snow map or something ?

Na you can't even use the terrain from it, and TBH, it would be far better and easier just to take DEM data of Northern France and the South Coast of England, shrink it down and make a new map from there. But if you where to do that you would really want to make a 8km by 8km map, and for that, you need Mesh Terrain, like what The Falklands has, which isn't easy to make[R-DEV]CTRifle wrote:Uhh we could use the terrain from it
I also wouldn't bother making an "Air Combat Only" map, would be better to spend the time on a map which has both air and ground combat since the unique part of PR over flight sims, is that you you can work with people on the ground (and have them work against you

Well that game is pretty low quality anyways compared to what we use, you're totally right with real world data

Thought I'd just post this here from our FB page. MasterX does it again with a nice new texture for the trench gun that was implemented towards the end of the beta!

Note that these weren't used on the western front, only in the pacific.

Re: Ask the (WW2-DEVS) a question ?
We're aware that it's over represented although I've checked a couple of sources that it was used in combat sporadically in the western front. This weapon was featured in the Beta for the heck of it and because it provided better feedback if incorporated in a non limited kit. We will most likely turn this weapon into a pickup one in the future.Ts4EVER wrote:Note that these weren't used on the western front, only in the pacific.

Really? Could you point me towards those sources? (Out of personal curiosity)

Re: Ask the (WW2-DEVS) a question ?
Sure I'll send them to you through PM when I can. I have to scan them first. There isn't much to see other than what might be factual misconstruction or just bad wording (one of them was quoted in FB btw - Joe Poyer in "Surplus Firearms"). I always thought that there might of been the off chance that the army picked a couple of these up when facing pockets of resistance in occupied cities. Primarily for assaulting houses.Ts4EVER wrote:Really? Could you point me towards those sources? (Out of personal curiosity)
Nevertheless they were available for combat use and even in-game there is quite a disadvantage in terms of range so it's not like it will that much over represented with 1 pickup kit. If 1 out of 50 uses it only in certain maps then it's not the end of the world. I'm actually even thinking of making it less powerful at medium range to almost obsolete. It'll be a History lesson for many.

Re: Ask the (WW2-DEVS) a question ?
Doubt it for now, would need an entirely new faction (the russians) and quite some new weapons and assets, also city maps are heavy on the pc, especially on the scale of PR, germans would need a lot of other skins, etc. etc. If it's coming it will be quite a bit later.
