Problems playing in Internet Cafe

Post by KingFish-v- »

Hi DEVs and other PR players,

In China, there are still many players playing in Internet Cafes. But one internet cafe usually use the same pirate systems for all computers in China, which leads to CD-Key issues. There are many reports saying that when two players go to an internet cafe together, only one of them can connect to an online PR server due to CDK conflicts.

Is there anyway to solve this issue? And are there any players having the same issue?

Thank you!

PR doesnt use CD-keys anymore, instead the use a hash-key that is linked to the hardware of your computer, there should be no issues with playing together on an internett cafe :)

Wouldn't all computers in an internet cafe use the same IP? Which would lead the server to kick one of you , or am I being a dumb dumb?

Nope, ip isn't problem.
Not to mention that OP specified CD-key issues, not connection issues.
My bet is that those pc's using winxp which is related to cdkey case i'm investigating right now.

Dude, it's China. The Mecca of internet cafes. You would be surprised how many different things can happen at an internet cafe. Few weeks ago I saw a vid of a chinese boy getting electrecuted by keyboard or mouse in an internet cafe in China. Things just happen there.

No laws and you can buy whatever you want at whichever price you want (have to watch out for fakes or lower qualities though).

I used for the first time a gaming internet cafe in Sydney - I'd never seen one before. It was in one sense an internet cafe but designed with gaming in mind using illuminated gaming keyboards, mice as well as lovely chairs, screens and high powered equipment.

In Sydney it was full off largely Asian extraction people and the area has many Chinese but given the cost per hour versus the cost of even a gaming capable laptop I don't see the point unless you only play once every few weeks?

In China most internet cafe are not expensive while many users of internet cafes are because of various reasons other than owning a computer.

For example, they may get themselves into trouble against their family when playing at home, or their job may require them to fly over to other places regularly which means they may just choose to play in internet cafes for convenience.

By the way, as far as I know, Chinese are not that third world and most of us have already updated our PCs and laptops to Win7 or Win8.1, some are at Win10 now.
I never think about to come back alive when I come to this world ;-)

huge freaking explosions, this, that, what happened to the China of new years Dragons zen and tea we knew 0-: ? Where has the real China gone?

Also isn't like everything made in China? PCs should be pretty cheap. I can see how you would get in trouble at home if one plays 6 hours every day. The problem is kids not getting in trouble for that here.

If any of our active English speaking Chinese members would like to participate in a China question and answer section - maybe OFf topic would be a great place.

Thank you guys. Didn't want to make this thread a China situation Q&A.
XP system may be one issue. We are still investigating into the situation and will post any other solutions here if we find.

BTW, would like to answer question about China in offtopic section.
