Hello guys.
Was Watching some videos of Arma3 and Squad on YouTube and when scrolling through comments I saw ppl often mention PR. Was wondering what that is and it led me to this forum.
I didn't even download anything yet (dunno where and what, tbh) but would like to try out this game. I have Arma3 on Steam, got it from a cheap bundle.. Altough game looks great, it doesn't run smooth on my rig so never really got into it.
If any good soul could reach out and help me with few informations about PR.. Basically just some pointers what to do to make my life simpler as a newcomer, I would really appreciate it. Not new to FPS genre, but never really got into this kind of teamplay. (except 50 played hours on Insurgency).
Thanks in advance!

Re: New member needs help!
Its a bit outdated now, but most haven't changed and its super important:

Co-op is great for understanding game mechanics, but AIs really bad, don't expect much from firefights against them. Make sure your microphone and key settings are proper before joining a versus game.

I suggest you to start with coop first because the "Deployment-Only" community react ""sometimes"" toxic to newcomers that fresh installed the game.
This game isn't about killscores.
It's a game about teamwork and 50% is communication so you should have a working mic because the PRO Squadleader dont like mic'less gamer in Deployment. Joining such squads ends often in kickedfromsquad".
Alone this will yaou make feel uncomfortable because that forces you in groups of "freekitsquads" and lonewolfers with zero sense for teamwork.
It will give you a wrong impression of this game.
When you want to make fly*lessons, start first on a local game.

Re: New member needs help!
Kind of easy , follow this steps and it will become much more :
1. Download the game
2. Read the manual ( very important )
3. Go to a co-op server , try all of the kits , all of the weapons , shoot , blow things up , learn the mechanics of the game and how it works , know the control keys
4. Join a deployment server , tell the squad leader that you're new to the game and follow his orders.
good luck
