The voice commands in BF2 are just lame. Im gonna delete the sound files for them cuz their more of a distraction than of help. DC voice commands ( and BF42s command system) is of far better use, IMHO. You can keep the 'spotted' command, but damn it, give me command that arent just plain annoying. I want to hear a veteran US soldier yelling commands, with his deep, rugid(sp?) voice, that sounds like hes seen it all. The one now just sounds like hes in a desk with no idea how the war is going. The MEC and China voices just arent the way they should be. All voices are the same and repeative and annoying. Maybe its just me, but I think this needs to be redone.
I loved BF42s system were you had the commands where everyone on your team hears it, then you have the voice commands where only the people around you ( to a certain distance) can hear you.
I dunno, just my thought. It really doesnt mean much to anyone else, but I think it should feel more fluent

I dislike how there isnt an option for independantly lowering the volume level for all the radio traffic and chatter while leaving the sound effects as is.
I modded the sound files to lower radio chatter immensely and it was soo nice. Problem was, I couldnt play online because PunkBuster detected it as a hack. sigh.

Yea I figured PB would pick it up as a 'hack'. I remember a lot of DC clans deleted the command files and only seen the text, enabling them to more consintrate(sp) on the battle and TS/ventrilo than be distracted by useless sounds. I personally love the voice commands of BF42 and DC. So I wouldnt ever delete them, but now that the commands are lame, you delete them, or alter them in anyways, your considered a hacker. Id rather hear where enemy fire is coming from than hearing everyones radio chatter, just at the very least limit it.

you know i never thought about the commands like that, but your absolutly right! I hate them too, I also would like a voice thing that says "Nice shot" , "Nice shooting!" and stuf like that, because, sometimes peopel really save my ***. but yeah in BF2 its just like "uhm.... excuse me, hey... could i get a medic?" when it should be "Oh god it hurts.... someone get me a medic NOW!" or something along those lines. im sure at some point PR will fix this!

What really get's me ticking is when some random dude feels the need to yell out "enemy spotted" "enemy spotted" "enemy spotted " like he's the only on who see's an enemy on the battlefield. . They REALLY need to put a limit on it.
"Incoming fire has the rigth of way"...........
