Animation link

Post by Hattori »

Ok, here is a link of the file I uploaded. Its a early render of a scene of some mechs patroling. The lighting, background and camera movement is very rough. The walking animation is final.

I like it much, but not the sky :( It looks so.. frozen

I would recommend to make a planar behind it or something.

haha yes I know that background is static, its just a place holder. lol its a jpeg put as a background so yes its going to look terrible. I am going to actually make volumeteric clouds for the final render. That should look good.

Anthony Lloyd, himself a former soldier in the British army and a Northern Ireland and Gulf War veteran:
"The men inside (the APC) might have been UN but they were playing by a completely different set of rules. They were Swedes; in terms of individual intelligence, integrity and single-mindedness I was to find them among the most impressive soldiers I had ever encountered. In Vares their moment had come."

They're very good, however being an engineer i feel there's a lack of inertial effects upon the mech, especially the arms. All that weight moving around at that speed would be very hard to keep rigid. Plus most robots need the arms moving for balance. Look at Hondas walking robot.

Good luck, and keep up the good work.

Well thank you desert fox!! I am still waiting to talk to some devs about the animation and what they think. I hope they like!! That way I can get started on some custom animations. I have some ideas that could be really cool!
