3 4x4s and a rear view

Post by suburban »

I love the fact that the blackhawk no longer reqiures the pilot to use the "mouse look" to view side to side and down. That was genius.

So I have a similar idea involving 4x4s.

Currently right click does nothing. I was thinking that it could be used as a rear view button. My concept involves not a conventional rearview that is used in bf2 but rather one that simulated the driver sticking his head out the window so that the player only sees the left side of the vehicle back.

Or something similar that could "mimic" side mirrors. The one above seems more simple however.

APCs need a rearview too, the entering being in the back and teammates spawning on the apc all the time is causing a lot of tking and stuff

Agreed. I really didn't have the APCs in mind but this was geared toward avoiding obstacles and obviously TKs.

Good suggestion. Can't tell you how annoying it is being unable to look behind you while you're backing up.

I use the mini map to navigate my APC more so than sight.

How about when you press V (my seconday fire for viechles anyway) you look in the left wing mirror and when you press X(seems to make you look down when in an LB or BH) You look in the right wing mirrior!

lmao. when I was driving an APC or a heavy vehicle I would say over voip and chat to the team "beep, beep, beep, beep, beep" lmao it really worked cause obviously everyone understands the meaning of such. Got some good laughs as well. Shame the rear view mirrors can't actually work properly.

There's alot of electronics on APCs and even Humvees nowadays, maybe theres a probability that the APCs are now equipped with rear facing cameras?
It'd be really helpful to just have the rear view not offset to the left or right but rather simulating a camera mounted at the rear doors for the purposes of avoiding tks. Just throwing out suggestions here.
