What is your cobra tactic on Al Bas? Ive seen cobras circle the facility racking up kills, sometimes up to 100. That seems to be the best tactic in game although it does not seems to be the best IRL. I usually circle once or twice then shoot off and come back make a few strafing runs and crcle again. Mix it up, but i usuall die before the constant circler does
It takes more than good flying to be a good pilot.

The LB is the easiest choppr to fly nowdays, fast, agile and responsive. The blackhawk is a real annoyance it seems to be one side to heavy and (when on a local server) i try to make a high angle turn i usually overcook it and shoot into the ground.

mine is to team up with tother cobra and nail specific targets till out of ammo the rtb before picking another target to rape and pillage
the cobras best asset is a good gunner so i do everything i can to get the best out of my gunners.

Smeg: Fuzz commands a lot and promotes good teamwork, db flips vehicles, Bosco is an all-round nub, Outlawz is an SP whore, Nickbond is a friggin ninja and Rhino gets kicked for being a n00b.

BTW grievers, its highly likely your throwing all your sticks into the wind by posting threads like this.
I would think that people who are actualy active on the forums tend to 1) have an idea whats going on and what should
2)be willing to learn the above.
Your just telling(not teaching) taught minds.

I would think thats exactly what makes it his fault, Edd.'[R-MOD wrote:eddie']I don't think it's his fault, he just doesn't take time to read a part of the Wiki.

I was on the US team for that round. What cost us the match wasn't a single helo crash. It was the fact that y'all were standing around en masse waiting for helos to spawn in, whilst the Chinese were capping flags. Seems to me that the vast majority of PR players want restricted kits, tanks, helos and anything else that keeps them away from the actual point : capturing every single flag and driving the OpFor off the map in a co-ordinated team effort.GnaM wrote:LOL, I was in that game. Granted, I am new to PR but everyone seemed to agree that crash at the beginning cost us the match.

Well, in the rest of the teams defense, I know my squad and many others were trying to cap the dam for a long time and for some reason despite hanging out there for a while the flag would not actually cap for some time.
As for me...I'm completely new to Battlefield, as well as PR, and on top of that, was experiences lag issues. I entered the game in a life boat I didn't know how to drive which mysterious dumped me off and killed me after I attempted to move forward for 2 seconds. I spent the majority of the game trying to follow the rest of my squad not knowing what to do and getting killed by enemies I couldn't see, or thought we teammates (it takes a while to distinguish the difference in colors between friends and enemies, and didn't want to TK).
All in all, the game seems cool, but being new is a frustrating experience as you spend the majority of the game running around empty areas looking for action, getting killed by unknown causes, waiting to spawn, then wandering around the wilderness again. I think if my connection problems ever cease PR will be worth the learning curve though.

If your really good and comfortable with using the hydras then you should have no problem reinforcing your team. Alot of times a cobra with just me in it is more effective when then when I have a gunner. Having a gunner hinders your view in front of you creating less visibility, without a gunner I can quickly identify and neutralize targets. But theres always a greater risk of getting shot down by rpg's because your flying so low, I don't have much of a problem though.

You sure its your connection and not frame lag GnaM? PR has a bit of a problem with that at the moment, not sure why exactly.
It's certainly worth the learning curve though, I've played BF2 a while and was very refreshed by it. Best bits of advice I can give (without rambling on) are to move short distances at a time to cover before moving ahead, make sure you cover your squad when they move up (not a good idea to be on point if your new) and to not shoot at anyone your not confident your gonna take down. Oh and if your squads not acting like one don't bother sticking it out just find a decent one, alot of good players seem to get into **** squads and stick with it when one of them could create their own and play properly.

Except that we were fighting MEC...
People wouldn't have to wait for a ride if two full choppers didn't crash, compliments of T. Hooker.
Also, we took West and East beach before they reached it, but the numbers weren't there to move onto bridge or dam.
