Welcome to PR. Be sure to read over the guide before playing or posting. The guide should answer much of your questions.

The forums help out also. I have yet to make a new thread here.

BTW, how lol funny is Randleman's sig vid.

Make sure the first game you get into is a small one with around 20 people so you can get the hand of it.

Don't forget that this mod is not just about coolio vehicles, it is more teamwork and better tactics, leading to a fuller and richer gaming experience....unless you play on AlBasrah.

Hey, what's up. Yeah I'm new here as well. I really enjoy the mod. I played some vBF2 before I started here and it wasn't all that great (bunny hopping FTL).

I haven't seen a whole lot of solid team play yet but I think I'll eventually find some. It's rough being a newb. ;)

I hope the above is a "joke"?

Welcome ginge51. Stick with the mod, you'll love it: it rewards patience.
Like Cherni_95 says, start on a small map, get used to the different game dynamic, DON'T be scared to ask questions, we were all new to PR at some stage and the vast majority of the community are patient..... except for when we're getting our arses handed to us on a plate :D

Yeah ignore "ghosty", he's useless.
You may be called a noob by some but you will get answers and patience is required.
The first games will make you feel like you have never played a FPS before but it gets better.
Also..... get a microphone.
And as the windshield melts
My tears evaporate
Leaving only charcoal to defend.
Finally I understand the feelings of the few.

After a while you start to recognise the names of good SLs. I tend to check whose playing and find a server with some good people I know on it. With the new release there are alot of new people about, haven't got used to it, play it like vanilla, takes a while for them to learn or leave and things settle down.

If you need some squad tactics training, then check out the before mentioned YouTube videos by fuzzhead. The link leads you to the first video, the remeining four are linked at YouTube. Take time!
