SL Drops?

Post by Colfax »

I seen a thread about this not long ago but for the life of me can't find it in the search forums.

[Question] What determines who is next in line to SL if your SL drops or disconnects?

I think it is whoever has been in the squad longest.

Squad leader drops, whoever joined the squad after its creation would be next in line. However I believe that even if you leave the squad and rejoin, it remembers that you were in it originally too.

^^^ Im not sure that thats right...

It goes off the order of the squad lists obviously, but I have been placed second or third in squads that I just joined....

It's definitely not who was in squad the longest, and I too have gotten 2nd slot right off shortly after joining the server and squad. It may be experience (rank) in conjunction with your in-game score.

If that is in fact the case, it would seem to be the most realistic and effective method of SL replacement.

All I know is that it's set up in such a way that two people can leave and rejoin the squad 50 times, passing the SL rank to each other since neither of them wants the responsibility.

LOL! It's funny cos it's true.

Anyway, from my experience - since I'm the poor ******* who always ends up being squad leader after being the last person joining the squad half way through the round as the original SL bails - it's something to do with rank.

OK here's what I think happens; The more you play PR the higher experience points you get when you join the server. Ever notice when the game begins some players have a higher score than others even though no one has made a kill or undertaken an action so far? Those are game experience points. You join a squad, your position in the squad reflects your experience ranking + your actual points for playing. Which seems logical because PR has a steep learning curve and it's based on reality.

Does it matter?
I say, take the responsibility, if the 5 other tarts left&rejoined to have you end up on the top of the list...

Then try to make a good squad, yell them rules on VoIP, TK anyone who gets the stupid Sniper kit...then 4/6 will probably leave, and start another SL switching squad...lol ;)

I agree and I do take charge, and with it the responsibility of running a tight squad, even if my original intentions were to just join a squad and hang-out as medic.

But what I was pointing out; I'm in game for a very short time. Long enough to get the feel of the game. I join a squad and automatically I'm at number 2 slot next in-line to SL.
